Hair receding fast on TRT!

Hey guys, how's it going?

Well, I knew hair loss was one of the possible side effects of TRT, but damn I didn't expect it to fall out this quick!

When I started mid-June I had a very slight receding hairline which had crept up over the past five years. But nothing bad at all. However, I've lost more in the last two months than in the previous five years!

At first I thought it must just look that way because I'd let my hair get too long - had been getting the back/sides trimmed and growing the top a bit. However, when I cut it short it was just as bad. I'm not too fussed as I used to shave my head for years and a shaved head is an easier way to justify having a beard at work lol. However, I'm pretty surprised!

Just had a call from my private doc to say my test level is 80 nmol/L!!!

Having my dose halved. Guessing this could be a contributing factor.

Hey man - I was paranoid about losing mine as well. Think it was mostly mental but there's some shampoo that was recommended "Lipogaine" i got on Amazon and is incredibly well reviewed. I've been using it, hairline is right where it used to be. No promises but sure can't hurt. But with that level of test for trt it may be an exercise in futility as those are full blown cycle levels. good luck

I'm a fan of minoxidil. Cheap and does the job. My doc keeps my TT trough around 1200 and I've not had much in the way of receeding hairline / thinning.

Cheers guys.

My protocol is now three pumps of Tostran daily. 80nmol (2305ng/dl) seems an insane level from six pumps of gel but I've no doubt it's correct as my e2 was also double the top end of the acceptable range at 331pmol and the site where they took blood was nowhere near the application site. I'd wager this is why I was losing so much hair, probably through hugely excess amount of dht.

Hair is over rated in this game!!! If you are afraid of losing it my recommendation is don't start!!!! Many more things to worry about besides hair!!!

Uhmm, pretty sure I'm now in love.
