is there anything that you can substitute for wrist wraps so that you could hold on longer for more reps when you're doing knee raises, leg raises, pull-ups and chin-ups? I was thinking of a broad metal hook that you can strap onto your wrist so that it'll give you more hanging time when doing the mentioned exercises without the problems of slipping or losing grip

There are manufactured versions of those. Just search a little and I'm sure you can find some.
