Happy thanksgiving to all my iron brothers!

The problem is that I was trying to wear both tight predators and a tight suit. I had that suit made for me measured pre bloat at 300ish to be meet fit, then bloated to 315ish and just got fucked. I can compete at 275 with it since I will only weigh around 290.

What I have found works extremely well, I shit you not, Tight predators with hooks sewed on so you can hang from the monolift to get them on, predators one size up, then a leviathan with 3 inches added to all your body measurements. Stopping power from the briefs, the suit doesnt lock super hard till right at parallel with tight straps, and you have a fast enough decent on your dip at the bottom to take advantage of your knee wraps.

Take into account that i'm a 700 raw squatter and around 1000 in full gear though: In other words, if you arent prepared for it, it will try to kill you.

Hard luck right there. I worry about the bloat since I don't control my E2 very well. Estrogen management kills my strength. But I haven't ran into the problem yet--mostly because I dry out to make early weigh-in.

Hooks in the predators? HA HA HA! Using the monolift as a cherry picker is the best damned idea I have ever heard.

My descent is super slow. It is a major flaw in my lift. I am working on the speed, but I have zero confidence since I ruptured my right quad. I like for my suit to feel locked early in the lift. Finding those last three inches has been a nightmare, but I have wanted to add to my suit...just haven't figured out how to dial it in to do it as of yet.

Good ideas. Thank you.

Bro, if those are your left overs I'm extremely jealous. Happy Thanksgiving to you met heads. It's a great time to be alive.

I feel you. Thats why Ive been squatting raw. I feel like if my muscles can handle it with no assistance, my tendons should be able to as well. Getting 200lbs out of a bench shirt and 300lbs out of a squat suit is not healthy, at all Regardless of how you want to look at it. I would recommend you get a ton of volume in with raw squats or either briefed box squats to get your mojo back.

Sure there is an arguement there that single ply gear can add just enough compression for a small overload raw and allow the muscle to fire more effeciently - but find me someone willing to lose 200lbs off of their total...

You know what I'm saying?

I do know what you are saying. I know that I am building equipped strength base. It sucks, but you spend a lot of time on that box, and reversal strength isn't your best feature. Slap a bad ass suit and predators on, and I cover the flaw if I descend slowly enough. That is why I don't like poly. I lack the acceleration to be able to take advantage of the rebound...I need the stopping power and stability. I am going to bump my raw volume in the squat and deadlift and see if cant square my foundation. It is never what you want to hear, but I know it to be true.

I listened to Brandon Lilly talking about getting back to basics, and I knew that I need to step away from the gear and build my raw total. I have a meet early next year. After that shit, I am going to swallow my pride and go raw for the remainder of 2014.
