HCG and WTF??

Yesterday I went to the URO. He offered me two options go on clomid or an HCG. He said if I did clomid it may not work and its something I couldnt be on forever. So I figured why do clomid then just get back on Test and get an Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) later. He also told me it could take 4 months for clomid to kick in, Ive been up and down on protocols for 5 months and have felt like chit for 2-3 years. So i opted to stay on Test and get HCG. Ok I get my stuff from the Va so its all free. But he tells me its not in the Va's formulary but he was a contracted employee which did know alot but Im also going to ask my PCP at the Va if she can carry it. Either way I call my insurance and they tell me its a special drug ok fine and its 10 grand a month, and I said what. Well you dont have to pay that its 500 co pay a month, WTF. So I call walmart and walgreens and they tell out of pocket its 180 bucks a month give or take. So I call the insurance back and talk to somebody else, they say well its not 500 a month its 500 for a 90 day supply or 200 for a 30 day supply. So I ask them why would I use my insurance if it cost more than just paying it. so I did some looking around and find the brand names for Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) which are Novarel, Ovidrel, Pregnyl. So when I go back to my insurances website and look up Novarel instead of Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) its preferred and its covered.

Anybody have this screwy run around on Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) like this??

yeah thats what I told the insurance guy on the phone I said theres no way. Either way script will be here tomorrow or today and going to walmart to get the true final price.

Also the script is going to say 10,000IU and he told me 250 IU every other day. From what I have seen that might be a lot.

I went through an Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) clinic and my prescription was under 180 for 11,000iu.

My script clomid was like 65 for a month worth.

I would check more in to their coverage, they may be thinking of fertility treatment or something as opposed to just the meds. My meds were not covered by insurance because they consider them fertility or female meds, they only cover test.

thats what I am guessing. It was just weird because they were quoting the $200 deductible on a drug that doesnt even cost that much. I think Walmart was 180 and Walgreens was 175. But like I said on their website under Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) they have it listed as non-preffered which means higher deductable or stupulations. But when I look the brand name of novarel it was preffered which means its covered by a standard co-pay of $5.

started this stuff 4 days ago and man what a change I feel so much better. Although he has me on 250IU every other day which I think I can feel the onset of E a little bit with cloudyness in the brain so I think im going to knock it down to every 3 days. But overall my balls dont ache no more and just have a better feeling overall. Working with the Va now to cover the cost as my insurance wont pick it up so its about 180 bucks. Anybody use legit canadian pharmacys or try research chems for this stuff. But I also think if I drage out Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) to every three days or twice a week Ill drag out the persrciptions for 2 months which in turn will cost me a 90 a month which a lot more reasonable. Everything Ive read every other day is probably to much anyways.

Insurance sucks. I have Aetna, and they refuse to pay generic for most meds (which cost less!), meaning I have to hunt around for pharmacies that actually carry the name brand to have them covered. I'm debating on bringing up Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) with my doc as I read that pregnenolone which is made in the testes really starts to drop off as testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) causes shut down of our gonads. (Pregnenolone is a neurosteroid and helps with upper brain function, which as a student is really important to me.)

Has your doc mentioned using arimidex to control the estrogen sides that Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) can be responsible for? I know that a lot of Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) clinics automatically prescribe test/hcg/adex; but my doc is a bit on the conservative side, taking a wait-and-see approach. I'm curious to see how your dosing helps with shutdown while possibly keeping estrodial low.

Yeah ended up at Walmart and bought it with 10 syringes for $188 out the door, insurance covered 2 bucks, lol fockers. By the way my Walmart at least by me will only do 10 needles at a time, well thanks considering I need 15 a month. But I have found this Discount Prescription Drug Card Plan on FDA Approved Drugs with below Wholesale Prices and 30-Day Money Back Guarantee from 60,000 Local Pharmacies in U.S. you can get the brand name with this card for $88 bucks, Novarel is the brand. And most pharmacies in my area accept this. The card is $4.50 a month or 45 bucks for the year. If the Va doesnt come through I am going to try this out. And Like i said Im on 250IU every other day, but I think im going to wean it out to every three days as I can feel the onset of E a little, and maybe even thin it out to twice a week as that seems pretty popular around, so if I did that a bottle would last me two months and with that card it would essentially cost me $44 a month. But I have read that the stuff does expire so I dont know if leaving out for 8 weeks if it would last. but the script package says nothing about this and says store at room temp. beleive the brand is ferring?

But overall this stuff woke me up big time, feel night and day. My balls on T almost had this numb feeling and were shrinking but after a day of this stuff, the whole area just felt like it was warm and came back to life. But we will see, I have seen a lot people on Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) go sky high and then after a few weeks to a month hit a major low and have to come off the stuff for good, so not getting my hopes up.

As far as E the endo who is admining the T looked me like I had a third eye. The Uro I saw last week seemed pretty up on it and looked at my current numbers and said not to worry. He told me if I had issues he would do a blood test and E was high he would look into it. He said ideally he likes to see a 10:1 ratio of T to E. And thats where I sit. I know a lot of Docs offer of Anti E's right away, but personally I think it may be better to see what the synthetic test does first then adjust from there. You also see a lot of guys on here with to low of E because there taking an Anti E.

Nice find on the prescription card deal, I'll definitely need to keep that in mind. Yeah, as someone who has had a few knee surgeries due to being reckless in their 20's, having too low of E does not sound fun. (Having had too high of E isn't much fun either, lol) Thanks for the imagery of your endo, I totally needed a good chuckle today! :agreed:
