Help needed, interpret my results

Hi,

I am a 25 year old male who recently got a testosterone blood test at my request.

my numbers are:

Total Test: 9.3 nmol/L (range on my blood test report says 8.4-28.7 is reference range)

Free tEST: 20.7 PMOL/L (31-94 reference range).

This seems really low on both counts. For my entire life I have:

- Been seriously depressed
- Scared of conflict, esp with other men
- Not very strong sex drive (virgin at 25)
- Can't grow full beard despite father being able too (and all grandfathers)
- Never able to concentrate well
- Anxious, socially fearful
- No ambition in life, no idea what I want to do, just sit around doing nothing.
- Erections are ok.

My doc said he wouldn't do anything until I get another testosterone test to look at bioavailability, then he'd make a decision.

What do you guys think?

Yes get the other test done along with estrogen levels and thyroid. Those appear very low but you also need to look at bioavaliable IMO.

Free test is bottomed out so your SHBG is probably high. Total test is about half what it should be. Call Chip @ Maximus and get it sorted out. Even my GP says endos are idiots. You won't find salvation there. None of your symptoms will abate until you fix that.

Are you from Canada? The only reason I ask is because the numbers you gave are usually how the Canadian tests are done.

Yes I am and I have no money. I can't affort to get testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) through anything but the free Canadian system, so I don't know what chip does but I can't pay him.

What exactly should I ask to get tested tomorrow (when I visit family doc?) And how should I phrase it? They will probably just tell me "I'm fine" and "You don't need anymore tests beside testosterone test" and then try to shoo me out.

sounds like your estrogen is through the roof, what is your BF%? need to learn what foods and packaging create estrogen dominance, this is going to be HUGE problem in future. by 2015, study says 75% of americans will be over weight, alot of people think its because of estrogen dominance.

think about it, look at pictures from the 30's, how many heavy people were their then??????

I personally think your too young for TRT.
