I was injecting my thigh subcutaneous. I pinched maybe an inch of skin, pushed it in, aspirated just in case and pulled out. when i pulled out there was a little blood on the syringe and my leg welted up with blueish color. Am i freaking out or should i be worried?

You should be fine, you know when you've injected into a vein. You may have just knicked a vein or pushed past one.

Alright. thank you. Its still welted but i dont feel any different than i usually would. If I did inject into a vein what signs should i be watching out for.

hey man, youll be fine.. like above, you prolly passed through a vein on the way out, I try not to move the syringe once its in me going in at a 90 degree angle, cause last time i hit a vein like that and i was sore for a good week

Oh shit - I hit a vein twice in a row!

I injected in the quad - aspirated, and blood came back pretty fast...

I chose a new location - and BAM - the same thing!

I've never had this happen but when it did - it happen twice in a row.

I can say blood is heaver than test - the syringe looked like one of those old lava lamps! :)

If your doing subq then it would have been a cappilary that you passed through...can't expect to penetrate your skin without seeing blood bro....also do subq in ur stomach way easier and less pain. Mist people don't have a lot of fat in their thigh

I've had one blood welt from a sub-q in my stomach with Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG). It was sort when touched for a day. Pain was gone after day one but the blood spot lasted for a few days.

This. Sub-Q in the stomach, essentially its how countless diabetics do their insulin daily.

That would depend on what you're injecting. If you were injecting an oil based steroid IM and struck a vein you could expect chest pain and difficulty breathing as the oil embolus traveled through you venous system, to the right side of your heart, and then to your lungs in short order. Not pleasant and potentially fatal.

This is why those three little words are so important: Aspirate, aspirate, aspirate.

As others have already said, you likely just hit a capillary bed with your Sub-Q shot. What you're experiencing is slightly worse than bruising.
