Help with Delts

Hi Lads

I am 20 and have been training for a few years now my body is growing all over but my deltoids seem to lag behind everything else.

I know this is genetic because i have a small frame. I have tried in the past year different techniques e.g. drop sets, training them twice a week, heavy presses.

Current routine follows

which is

5x5 Seated Db shoulder Press
Upright rows 2x8
Hammer strength seated shoulder press 2x8
Rear delt db raises 3x8

being small framed your delts are getting overtrained if you have a shoulder day along with a chest day , your delts are hit pretty hard on a good chest workout.

if all else fails go to a 3 day split
chest / side delts / front delts / triceps

back / bis / rear delts

legs

also on chest day you could do some reverse grip bench , these really work the front delts and triceps
 
Hey Snake, i have the same problem, my chest is way to big for my shoulders and i have to hit them hard to bring them up.

I changed up a few months ago to this routine and the missus says there is a marked improvement in my shoulder development, especially the front and side but need to do more rear work still.

Sho Press 4 sets
Rear Delts using a cable pulley 4 sets
Side lat raises 3 sets
DB single arm side lat raises 2 sets
Upright rows 4 sets

You need to start doing side lat raises.

Everything in reps of 12/10/8/6, im not bulking right now but trying to get more cut and lean so would be a bit different otherwise.

This is working for me so maybe give it a go. And Dawg is spot on with the chest workout, dont ever to Shoulders and Chest in the same day, mine are at least 2-3 days apart and only workk each bodypart once PW.
