Help With Quad Injections.

I just finished a 15 week test e cycle and after 30 injections I'm still not 100% confident with the shots. I know the general area and I would say that about half of the injections went smooth. The needle would go in like butter with no resistance or pain. When I don't hit the perfect spot though, it would become very painful with a lot of resistance as a result. It would be tough to get the needle in at least 3/4 of the way in. I used a 22g x 1 1/2" needle. Where exactly is the "perfect spot" and would it help to use a larger gauge needle next time? Thanks.

everybody is different some people don't handle quad shots well, i don't think you should use a larger guage than 22, maybe try a 25 - 1" personally i use slin pins for everything. the spot you should be aiming for is the upper outside quadrant so if you split your quad all the way from your knee to your hip bone vertically then horizontally through the middle, then it's the upper outside quadrant, similar to how you would find the spot for a glute shot. it varies for me also sometimes i get pip sometimes i don't, for some people it's their fav. spot for me delts are the least painful and never any pip, maybe try a different spot if you don't like quad shots.

i still do quads but, since the last time when i got pretty bad pip, was swollen and red for about a week i just don't do test shots there anymore, i do my vit. d shot and dont' have any problems. i guess maybe i was having issue with the test or something, or maybe i wasn't deep enough because i was using slin pins so i'm just sticking with delts for that.

Thanks for the response. I meant higher gauge (ie smaller needle). I didn't know that IM injections could be done with insulin needles. Are Delt shots with the slin pins less painful? I was going to go for the delts but decided against it. I never had any pain following the injections, just when I was sticking the needle in btw. The strange thing was that I was always sticking in the same general area for all the shots. Some were fine, others not.

if you're only having pain putting the needle in then, go with a higher guage (smaller needle) and you should be fine. yes, you can do IM with slin pins many people around here do but, you should be lean enough. i don't feel any pain at all in delts but, like I said everybody is different but, most people seem to be fine with it, but some people have issues but, i doubt they were using slin pins. i'm pretty sure you would be fine with a 25g though. i don't use 23g anymore because they are like a harpoon to me, then again i've accidently injected with an 18g several times, so..

I use 25g 1" in the quad, granted I have very little body fat. Needle goes in super painlessly but it is a small forearm workout to get it all in there, take about 1 min per cc usually without me having to force the sh!! out of it. Just take your time, watch TV, and put a heating pad on after and take an aspirin or 2. I also hit ellipticycle that night for 30 to 40 mins just get the blood flowing and keep it moving. I have no problems alternating quads each time, although left leg is worse cause I am right handed and not as steady reaching over and squeezing causes me some extra shakiness.

I think it all comes down to what you are injecting. I have been desperate at one point and used the HORSE pins you can get from tractor supply. Those things put a huge hole in your body but its just the initial poke that stings a bit. Last week I took a pin of 250 mg's of Test and in my left quad.. HOLY S##T!! Took 3 days before I could walk straight..

I use a 25x1 most pinns are smooth but now and then u hit a nerve or a vein..For me its worth it cause u can sit and inject no need to bend.Just blast through and take the pain theres a reason pussies are less likey to juice
