Here are my test results. Input????

MP5

The Cooler
Prolactin: 7.2 units= ng/ml

Male range= 2.0-18
So i guess this is normal?

Testosterone: 534 ng/dl

Range= 241-827.

Any input? Basically this is all the paperwork says.
This is all like Chinese to me.

Does my test seem low? It just said "testosterone total= 534"

Seems low doesn't it? I am 32 years old.

no bro, you are right in the middle, that's where I am and I'm on HRT.

duh!

I wonder at which point your body determines what is "too much test" and starts converting it to estrogen? If there were some sort of concrete number then it would be easy to know how much test to use safely.

I also wonder what my test readings would be if I were on 500mgs a week. That would not up my daily levels to 1000 would it? Not sure how it actually affects your test levels.

only way to tell is to cycle and order blood tests in the middle of your cycle, one of the docs here could help you.

Everyone aromatizes testosterone at different rates, therefore there can be no concrete number.

If you took 500 mg of Test a week, you reading would be off the chart as far as those normal ranges you posted goes.

Got it, thanks!

So now the question remains...what is the fucking lump in my nip from? My prolactin levels are normal so why would I be building up gyno?

Why did he not test your estrogen levels...that could be the cause.

He told me that prolactin levels were the cause. I guess estrogen causes a production of prolactin which then triggers gyno.

like stone said find yourself a new doctor & have him run your entire hormonal panel which includes your estrogen #'s. Also, 534 total test is alot better than where iam at which is 320 and Iam 28. Every indivudual is different when it comes to those #'s. you have to look at age, cycle histroy & etc.

How does estrogen itself cause gyno? It causes a production of prolactin which signals for the body to increase breast tissues. I don't believe the chemical estrogen itself causes gyno. Just like clomid does not increase test levels. Clomid produces more LH which then signals test production. Correct me if I am wrong.

I'm not sure where you are getting this info from, but it is estrogen and possibly progesterone that cause gyno.

Maybe you want to start another thread about the causes of gyno, as this thread is probably nearing the end of it's usefulness, especially since we are changing the subject matter.
