sorry to hear man........good luck brother
thanks Det,i appreciate it!
sorry to hear man........good luck brother
Try not to worry to much bro....i would be very happy to know my troponin levels are normal....that is the main enzyme to depict cardiac damage....and i do believe that as a body biulder our ck levels should be elevated due to muscle damage that we create by ripping and healing of muscle fibers via lifting weights. I would really like to know what she meant by abnormal.....first of all nurses are not cardiologists...second they do not exactly know how to run an accurate 12 lead (ekg)....their lead placements are always off and accurate lead placement is more important than most realize. I'd also like to know what they mean by a larger chest because my chest is fairly large and my heart is normal.
Stay positive bro....keep us informed. I hope that they are just running through a standard protocol since you do have elevated enzymes....kind of like double checking
Sorry Mod's,this may be in the wrong forum,if it is please move to appropiate one,
I just found out that my 3 main cardiac enzymes were highly elevated,i had a whole blood panel done friday, and got my results back earlier this week,
Been having shortness of breath, and weezing latley,my EKG was abnormal and the heart enzymes,CK-MB,Mycoglobin,and Triponin was highly elevated, well the main one Triponin was normal, but the other 2 was really high, which is questionable for a heart attack and heart muscle damage,
I dont know anything about these enzymes, but i learned its a pretty serious deal,i wanted to tell all my friends and brothers on here, cause yall all are my true brothers and i wanted to ask yall to have me in your thoughts next tuesday the 22nd,im having a Lexo Scan and a Electrocardio Gram done,to see if there is damage to my heart....and damage to my kidneys, with these enzymes being high theres a good chance of permanent kidney damage or failure...
Seriuosly,im scared,i dont want to sound like a cry baby, but i just want my brothers backing me.....i would really appreciate it yall,it would mean alot to me......Bullseye

will do brother thanks!!!I will be praying that it turns out well! Hang in there bro!
thanks brother!!!Fuck man sorry to hear that. I hope every thing turns out ok. good luck bro.
yea my uncle and my dad both have had heart attacks and my uncle has had 3 bypass surgeries, but ive always tried to take care of myself and eat and excercise healthyDamm brutha I will say a prayer for you that is very serious.
Do you have a family history of heart/kidney issues?? All of those enzymes are very important and elevation or depression of these enzymes is a serious thing..
I am not a religious person and I hope I do not offend you but I WILL include you in my nightly prayers...
Good luck bro ...good luck and god be with you.
One other thing until the scan try your best not to stress too much ( I know thats not soo easy to do) but take it easy for a while at least until your scan!!
yea i think thats what happened to and thanks manExactly what I was thinking ..I had an ekg done and the nurse got all pale faced and ran out to get the Doc..He told her to learn how to place the electrodes before scaring the patient...
I really hope this is all smoke and no fire bro ...good luck again.
thanks brother,i appreciate itGod bless you brother. I'll say a prayer for you.
brother im gonna try and not think about it to much,i just ready to get it over withIt's all gonna work out in the end. Doctors need to be very firm when they tell you whats wrong. They can't have you leaving the office thinking its something that your just gonna get over in a few days. They will run some more tests and gather data, then they will make an intelligent decision based on the info to help you.
You live in America, the greatest country in the world, the medical technology here is unbeleivable. I have a story I do not wish to share on the internet, but someone very dear to me had a problem that seemed desperately hopeless.... 4 months later now and this person is perfect. Just keep your chin up... focus on healing and staying positive. Don't get all depressed and lost, you can do this Bullseye.
Hey Big guy
I'll tell you that a lot of times these tests can give off false positives. As has been brought up weight lifting & breaking down of muscle can be the cause of readings that these guys are not used to seeing. I can't tell you the number of times that I have talked to people that have had some blood tests that had suspicious findings. Only to have a shit load more tests & everthing else checks out fine. I would be willing to bet you will check out fine as well. Stay positive! You will be in my thoughts.
User, thank you so much my big brother, yea ithought all was well, until the doctor called me,and explained to me about the heart enzymes, and i freaked, cause all my other test comeback normal,my cholesterol, kidney.blood pressure was great function, liver,my complete blood lipid was good,my HDL was just a tad low,but not bad,i had a complete physical, and the only other thing that was elevated was estradiol,my chest xray was normal and the shortness of breath she said may be asthma,so i dont know,I read Cobra's post and i done some reading myself, and he and all that ive read comes all back to muscle damage, either by lifting weights, tearing down of the muscle, either by surgery, lifting etc....and the main enzyme that turned out normal was the tropinin,it determines if ive had a heart attack or any heart muscle damage, and it was normal,so i felt a little better, even the guy thats doing the technician thats doing my procedure, which i work out with, said the same thing Cobra and my research said......i may be worring for nothing, but it is scary,i hope my "other meds" have nothing to do with it,from what ive read about them they shouldnt,at least i hope, and my brother thanks for your support and helping me out finding out some answers, you da best big brotherBullseye. Did I miss something. I guess I thought things had turned around and were looking better. Good luck man and don't stress over this shit, that will make the situation worse.
At this point just take it as it comes. I see too many people who have docs give them some test readings but don't give an explanation. Sometimes your body operates a little different but I know you have some family history, but look at it like this, if it were an immediate threat they would have sent you to ER, not to say this isn't a serious issue but based on the course of action, your doc either didn't know what to make of the results, or she is sending you out to cover her ass.
Hopefully everything is fine and I'm assuming a change in mess will likely get you on the right track.
My concern is if any of you other "medications" are having some type of effect on any of the blood results. I would try to find some research on it and I will try to do that for you. You are at an age where it may be time to take it with this my friend. I'm looking into low test/gh for the near future and possibly dropping everything else the majority of the time. There may be no correlation at all but it's something to consider and look into. I wouldn't mention anything to the docs but just see what you can find and when I get some time I will look as well.
Matt you seem to have a good base of knowledge on this, any thoughts? I have a doc I can talk to about this so I'll let you know.
Good luck Bullseye, you have some good friends here with you. Don't hesitate to ask if you need anything bro.
