Hi!
I am on TRT. I get 250mg shots every 2,5 weeks which I get from my intern.
I also tried gels but they didn't really work for me.
I asked my endo if I could try self injections and he was against it he is afraid of getting trouble in case I do something wrong.
The problem is that I have been on the shots for 6 months now and for unknown reasons
my E2 keeps climbing up. I am not really fat though. I don't think that high body fat is the explanation cause
in the past my E2 was always around 25ng/pl even before I got on TRT.
When I started to shots at first E2 was normal around 23ng/pl but recently I had my "peak levels" measured 7 days after the last injection
and now my E2 is above the range at 47ng/pl!
My testosterone was also above the range and my SHBG is relatively low at 25.
Due to the rather low SHBG my testosterone/SHBG ratio is also above the range.
My concern now is what can I do about the high E2? I do not get any breast tingling which would indicate a gyno.
But I have problems with erections and orgasms. But this could also be because I'm on antidepressants (vortioxetine).
But it's really frustrating cause it's really hard to get it up and hard even when I watch porn. And orgasming is sometimes impossibly
no matter how long I jack off.
I don't know how much of these issues is due to E2 or wether it's all due to the antidepressant.
Unfortunately aromatase inhibitors are off label where I live and my doctor won't prescribe them to me.
Are there any natural ways to lower E2?
I read at a website that phytoestrogens are good cause they act like estrogens in the body and this way make the real estrogens inactive.
But I also heard the exact opposite that foods which contain phytoestrogens like flax seed are bad for men. I'm confused about this and don't know
what to think now.
