High Intensity

I started HIT Training a couple months ago, and already the strength increases are incredible. From one leg day to the next my leg press went up 90 lbs and 5 reps. I'm following the sample workout right from a Menzter book.

workout one: CHEST (1 set of pec deck flyes immediately followed by 1 set incline bench or machine bench) and BACK (1 set straight arm lat pull downs immediately followed by 1 set palms up pulldowns. 1 set deadlifts or shrugs)

four days rest

workout two: LEGS (1 set extensions immediately followed by 1 set of leg press. 1 set of calf raises) and ABS (1 set of machine crunches)

four days rest

workout three: SHOULDERS (1 set front lat raises, 1 set side lat raises) BICEPS (1 set palms up pulldowns) Triceps (1 set pushdowns immediately followed by 1 set weighted dips, elbows in)

four days rest

workout four: Legs and abs, same routine

four days rest

REPEAT

I'm 19, 200 lbs, Bench 330 last time I maxed, squat around 360, deadlift about 400. I've been lifting for 3 years or so.

I'm going to be switching out the shoulder and biceps lifts because I'm so far not happy with them, probably due to my form on those exercises. I suggest everyone read a Mentzer book and atleast give it a try, its working great for me. Hardest part is driving with full intensity every set, and getting out of the habit of 4-5 days a week of lifting.
