Higher than normal Estrogen levels - post PCT

Hi,

So I've just got bloods back 2 weeks after finishing my PCT... all appears ok apart from Estrogen levels are slightly higher than they should be...

My question is: As I don't have an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) at hand right now - will this lower naturally now that I am off all compounds? Or do I need to get hold of an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) to do it? The Estrogen level isn't massively high, just higher than usual. Does the body regulate Estrogen levels naturally when free of all added compounds?

Also would having a higher Estrogen level than normal affect the libido?

Post PCT - Estrogen levels are high

hopefully

the bodies a badass machine

was your estro alway s a bit high before gear is the 64k question

Nope... I get bloods done regular, especially before, during and after running a cycle...

My estrogen levels have always been bang on - throughout my previous four cycles estrogen has never been an issue...

That's why I'm surprised to see these results now...

Could anyone else offer a perspective please?

If the body will lower estrogen naturally, then happy days, as I'm reluctant to use an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) after 12 weeks on gear and 6 weeks of post cycle therapy (pct). Of course if an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) is essential - I'm happy to take one.

BigBen :)

Why would you run PCT if you are on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for hypogonadism?

Post your pre and post labs along with protocols. Otherwise we would just be speculating. But if you ran a cycle, this may be better suited for the AAS section of the forum.

Sorry Megatron... I ran a Test based cycle, I'm not on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) just yet (although I do think my natural shelf life is diminishing rapidly!)
I apologise if I've crossed any boundaries - but I figured the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) forum would be a good place to go for estrogen related issues...?
I have posted on the AAS forum now - but if you could answer my initial question in the meantime, I'd be extremely grateful :)

Thanks, and apologies

BigBen.
They should come down on their own shortly. I would recommend getting some DIM to assist in metabolizing the estrogen.

LOL thanks BigBen!

Sorry, I'm being naive here, but what is DIM?

Thanks in advance

I rather see some numbers before conjecturing. As you get older and run more cycles your body may be responding differently. I wouldn't assume that things will always necessarily be the same as they were before. Or maybe you added a more fat in your last cycle and thus have more aromatization. Hard to guess what a going on. Numbers and comparisons might help shed some light on your situation.

DIM = Diindolylmethane
It's a natural supplement that is derived from green vegetables. It works well in assisting the body in regulating estrogen levels. I've been able to completely drop my Aromatase inhibitor (AI) and just use DIM to control my E2 with labs to back it up. I order Nature's Way brand DIM-Plus from Amazon.

Great Information to know, thanks

Ordered!

Worth a try... thanks for your advice :)

OK... so latest bloods are back...
As expected... High estrogen and low testosterone...
My GP has now referred me to a urologist....
I am based in the UK btw....

Here are my levels...

Serum oestradiol level - 112 pmol/L
Serum LH level - 5.4 mIU/ml
Serum FSH level - 6.2 mIU/ml
Serum testosterone - 9.3 nmol/L

Could anyone please comment on these levels with regard to what kind of treatment I could expect after a visit to the specialist...

Please make your comments idiot proof - I'm a newcomer to the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) world, and my knowledge on these matters if very limited...

I'm 42yrs old, been training for 25yrs, 5ft 9", 205lbs... currently about 12%bf....

You help would be much appreciated!

You need to include the reference ranges for each of theblab results. Otherwise it is difficult to interpret them.

OK... sorry about that...

Serum testosterone - 9.3 nmol/L (Range 9.4-37.0 U)
Serum oestradiol - 112 pmol/L (Range 40-161 - Median 84)
Serum LH level - 5.4 mIU/ml (Range 1-9)
Serum FSH level - 6.2 mIU/ml (Range 1-14)

Hope this helps... I appreciate your input Megatron :)

Blood was pulled midday, and no I hadn't fasted....
Basically, my symptoms are lethargy, zero libido and ED... and I have had these symptoms for over a year....
When I cycled (Test & Eq), I improved massively... but literally 1 week after stopping cycle, and all the way through an aggressive PCT I was back to feeling crap again... I'm now 9 weeks since my cycle, these bloods were taken last week.
