hey guys i'm 24 years old and i'm trying to lose weight and body fat. I want to see what you guys think of my cardio training. I start off with 30 min on the elliptical with my heart rate between 127-135, that's right where the machine says my heart rate should be to burn fat. Then I jump on the treadmill and that's when I do my HIIT training. I warm up for a couple minutes then I run around 6.5 mph to 7.0 mph for 45 seconds to 1 minute, then i go back to around 3.0 and let my heart rate get back between 130-135 before i start again at full speed. Is this cardio gonna efficent for me to burn fat and lose weight? feel free to offer knowledge guys! I need all i can get!

you gotta lift weights too bro, in order to change your body composition.

if you do only cardio, you will end up a slimmer version of yourself, but it will be the same shape.

OMG, I emphasize this point to people like none other and they just don't get it!

Personally man, 7.0 is too slow. Bump that treadmill up to 9 / 10, even 11.

1 minute rest, 1 minute run.

Also, have you thought about super setting everything in the gym in addition to your cardio workouts? I found that doing that burned fat like none other!

yeah I also lift about 3 times a week. I use to lift a lot about 3 years ago but I got lazy and out of shape but now i'm snapping out of it. I really just wanna get a lean look, i'm not trying to be a bodybuilder or anything just trying to be healthy. Thanks for the advice guys! I'm gonna start bumping that treadmill up little by little also.

if you don't care about losing muscle, do it first thing in the morning before breakfast. You will speed up fat loss but also you will burn some muscle too
