I guess I was raised old school...but I'm just now hearing a couple people on another thread saying they only train 45min. I have always taken closer to 90min. I'm thinking about trying the 45min approach now.

For the sake of arguement lets say training for BB/PL. Minus any special training for specific sports (working out at the driving range.)

it takes me around 1.75 hours to get through my lifting session. 10 minutes of stretching when I get there, 5 minutes of stretching before I leave, and about an hour and a half to work the muscle groups I have set aside for the day. I also try to keep my rest time between sets under a minute so that I'm expending a lot of energy and keeping my muscles pumped up. I want to feel exhausted when I walk out so that I'll sleep that much better when I get home.

Just over an hour, when I am lifting heavy. When I am cutting, my workouts are much longer, but I am also adding more cardio, lots of ab work and some additional exercises beyond the core exercises.

BB'er are always in a rush to leave the gym :)

It also helps that you guys are so damn strong. Doesn't take as long to warm up for a 300# squat as it does for a 600#. :insane2:

It takes me about a half hour to warm up for my squat sessions. Not including that, i am thier for about 45minutes to one hour. Actually it takes me longer to warm up for my DE squat day than anything else.

ME day: 1hour max... I can load up with 1000 carbs before, and durring but I still get worn out easily. I traing with VERY high-crazy-phsyco-hulk intensity. lol.

I would probably scare the people in my gym, so I train at home with a partner that doesn't freek out when I scream and slap myself durring the workout.

1000 carbs? grams or calories?

what i've found that works for me is to take a drink every so often of my pwo shake, (durring the workout) and it keeps me awake. I would use caffeine, or some kind of stimulant, but i have a fast metabolism, and I'm constantly fighting to just keep muscle. When I started lifting I was the same height (5'9") and at a scrawny 110lbs. I'll never go back to that again.
