How long does the weight gain last?

I just went to my doctors office for my injection and weighed myself, I have been on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for six weeks now and have gained 13 pounds. I know to many they would be happy with 13 pounds of weight gain in 6 weeks but I am already a fat ass, gaining weight is the last thing I need. I will admit that up until now my diet has been crap (started my diet this morning from 3J) but I have been hitting the weights hard four days a week and doing 20 minutes of cardio on the days I train. I thought I would have started losing weight by now, not gaining!

whats your diet like?
are you exercising?
there is usually an increase in weight from increased water retention from the T shots...
I found using arimidex cut down on the extra water retention.

i would guess it is almost entirely water weight. have your e2 level checked. may need arimidex / anastrozole

Until today my diet has been crap but I started a diet from 3J this morning. I weight train four days a week and do cardio after the weight session. I bet it is water as I do feel bloated throughout the week even though I am on a Aromatase inhibitor (AI) and my E2 is within normal range.

I was under the impression that there would be a little weight gain in the beginning but then your body levels out and if you are active the weight starts to come off.

I am currently on arimidex, I take 1mg every week. My last blood test was two weeks ago and my E2 was 37.

You are only six weeks into testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and that lab was taken at 4 weeks in. You're TT still hasn't peaked on your current protocol. Your E2 is still changing too, so it likely is water weight due to estrogen. You need to get labs run when you level off on your protocol. And get tested at your Peak and Trough.

I can't recall, how are you taking your 1mg of arimidex? All at once? .5mg twice a week?

Your diet needs to be adjusted, also watch your sodium, when on testosterone most men are much more sensitive to sodium intake.

Is that why when I was on 160 mg/week of T shots and I ate something slightly salty it gave me a head rush??
It felt like I was having a slight panic attack when ever I ate something that was salty and a lot of blood rushed to my face...

That is not that much different of a dose.

.25mg x 3.5 = .875n weekly

you need to ask your doctor about trying .5mg the day after your T shot, or just switch to us and we will figure all that out for you :)

I hope you get dialed in for sure but, as long as you follow 3J's advice to the "T" I'm certain you will see great results that others have. Good Luck & hang in there.
