I would currently like to know how many times you train each muscle group per week.

I am currenty doing each group once per week but am looking to do each part twice for example..

Back working on width one session and thickness the next

Chest working on lower middle one session and upper the next.

good idea bad!!your thoughts please.

oh sorry forgot ..the reason why im changing is that i feel i would get more benifit from training x2 per group over 1 ...im fairly newish to serious training and not sure how my body will cope/recover/benifit from the new style but ill test it for a few weeks(6) and see how it goes! :insane2:

there is a lower middle and upper section of chest? thats crazy shit, i never seen that in an anataomy book!!

i lift my stuff twice a week.. anyone who knows training will know that if you're a BB-er training muscle groups twice a week is more effectice for growth. you just have to modifty your intensity and volume so u dont over train

yep pretty much the same, not sure really whats the right thing to say here. What works for me is hit everything once a week and the lagging parts(calfs, back) twice.

Generaly overall the chest has loads of different parts you can train just by varying the angle and grip width as you know.ie incline for upper decline for lower flat=middle wide rip outer peck narrow inner etc...but yes the chest is one overall muscle-well 2 actuall left n right..

i only used it as an example.but as the new program is shaping up i can hit every muscle group x2 but means ill be in the gym monday to saturday-sunday rest-im not to bothered as long as i get a dayz rest but 3days inbetween groups...plus i work in a health club/gym wich makes it a lil easier for me to train befor or after work :druggie:

PS so you are getting good results from x2 then!

I hit each muscle group 2x a week:

Mon - Back/Bis
Tues - Chest/Tris/Abs
Wed - Shoulders/Legs
Thurs - Rest
Fri - Back/Bis/Abs
Sat - Chest/Tris
Sun - Shoulders/Legs

Basicly once a week. Abs twice a week for me. Do whatever works best for strength gains. Once a week give me the best strength gains, I have experimented.

Personally I feel the best doing it this way, with great progress weekly.

Twice per week I guess, by I use more of a powerlifting split so I don't really count the number of times I "train a bodypart" but rather train lifts.

l've started training twice a week for the last 2 weeks now and ive been gettin good muslce gains, even dropped abit of bf%

i train 5 times a week but will drop next week to 4 days ...

i do what ever my body tells me to do. Sometimes i'll hit muscle groups twice a week..sometimes only 1 a week...it's those traveling weeks that screw me over when i get zero workouts in for the whole week...those next few workouts require a little more intensity.

Depends on what I'm shooting for. For this cycle Im gonna do
Mon: chest/tri
Tues: cardio/abs/calves
Weds: Back/Bi
Thurs: cardio/abs/calves
Fri: legs/Delts
Sat/Sun: Chase kids around, rest, chill
