how to get bloods what do i ask for?

What is your Sugar and high glycemic carb intake like ? if its on the high side that could negatively effect both cholesterol and the liver (both of your problems).

"new research syncs with decades of data on how sugar causes insulin resistance, high triglycerides, lower HDL (good) cholesterol and dangerous small LDL (bad) cholesterol. It also triggers the inflammation we now know is at the root of heart disease. And fats, including saturated fats, have been unfairly blamed"

I'd have to find some of the articles, but I've seen evidence recently pointing to 'Carbohydrates' and 'Sugars' now being believed to be the root cause of heart disease

The medical community is very slow to jump on board with blaming sugars, but the research is undeniable.

probably because it is sugars/carbs that feed the masses of humanity (healthy meats, fats, and veggies, there is not enough to go around) .. being the masses of people can only be fed with these, primarily ,, you don't want to go around blaming these foods for a host of health problems now do we.

politics, to keep 'world order' -- let the poor on welfare keep eating a 70% high carb/sugar diet, because healthy fat, meat, and veggies are too expensive , they will become a health burden on top of being a financial burden to society .
god forbid we inform these people that the food we are providing them is the source of their ill health conditions , that would then create an 'economic' problem on top of it all

Cardiac Calcium Scan? No sir i dont think so i never even heard of that

You could try googling it!

It tells you if you have plaque build up in your arteries which would help you decide if you really need to be on a Statin. Your doctor could tell you all about this scan. It costs about $100 and takes about 3 minutes. Kind of like sitting in a CT Scan machine.

I still believe there is some merit behind saturated fats but I definitely believe that sugar is also a factor. I wonder if complex carbs would also apply? It doesn't seem so really, or fruits and veggies. I would assume it pertains to mostly processed sugars or raw sugar. Have you done any further research to know for sure?

I surely have heard a doctor or health specialist/dietician advise against whole grains or fruits. Curious to see if you have read any further to know sure.

Use whole grain wild rice or brown rice, much better! Or replace a few servings of rice with something like Arnold whole grain bread. Have you picked up any fish oils?

I'd like to elaborate on two things. Megatron and Halfwit are very correct, that there are negatives to taking Cholesterol statins. When you take these statins you shut down the pathway that makes CQ10 and other important chemicals. Just like the HPTA pathway which is shutdown from injecting T. So your cholesterol may go down, but now you are not getting other important chemicals in your body. Plus the studies done on these statins have shown these statins to be shockingly ineffective at lengthening life span! Plus the side effects of poor memory and muscle pains. So decide for yourself.
Then there is the VAP cholesterol Profile which is a much more definitive measure of how good or bad your cholesterol is. Doctors still use the numbers for HDL and LDL, but this is no longer an accurate way to measure. It is more important to look how many small particle and large particles are in your LDL (pattern A or Pattern B). You could still have a lot of LDL, but if it is the good type (the right size) you could be good to go!! Labcorp does the test and it called a VAP cholesterol Profile .

Just increase the amount of soluble fiber in your diet. You would be amazed by what that simple change can do for your LDL and Triglycerides.
