how to use ampules

Ok...I got some amupules and I know this sounds stupid...but I have no idea how to open these **** things!

I've tried torquing on the top portion and hoping it would break, but they're kinda small and I'm afraid that I'll break the whole amp.

I eventually resided to wrapping the end in toilet paper and crushing the very tip.

Tips?

Tips?

take a small rattail file from the hardware store and score the neck at the narrowest point .hold the amp in a washrag and push against the top with your thumb and it should snap off cleanly.
