Hpta

does anyone know the long term effects of severe loss or even shut down of HPTA? the reason I ask is because I am about to start a prop/tren cycle and as you know prop is known to severely decrease HPTA function. I've tried to get my hands on some HCG but its just not possible so I'm wondering if my natural testosterone production levels and anything else inhibited by the decrease of HPTA will recover after the post cycle treatment. any help is appreciated fellas.

I just did a 6 week prop and dbol cycle, with Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG), and im 5 days into post cycle therapy (pct) and i feel freakin great, almost fully recovered.

Ahhhh...... you got that reversed in your head, actually your problems will come from the Tren, not the Test prop.

there is a downside to running hcg for extended peroids of time isnt there? (im forgetting right now but i know there is a major downside, possibly "resistance" to the hcg?)

There are many variables that come into play when determing the duration and severity of your being "shut down." Three that IMO top the list is age, cycle length and Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) type and dose. Generally, I think a younger male with a healthy hpta will recover much quicker that an older guy who's hpta is in decline. I am 44 and have recovered from tren and deca cycles. But it takes me a while.

On this forum it seems to be the norm to use hcg. I've been on other very good forums where people never use hcg and I'm one of those people. I've always used clomid and nolva and as far as I can tell I'm just fine.

I think what your talking about is negative feedback inhibition. Its kinda like when you use gear. The body starts being told not to produce test because it thinks it doesn't need it. Thats why I don't see why hcg is such a good thing. As far as I know,(could be wrong on this) hcg mimics what natural test does. It does not help your body naturally produce test. To me this is just like taking synthetic test.

OK blast away!

Actually, hcg mimics luteinizing hormone-LH. LH is the hormone responsible for stimulating the testicles to produce Testosterone, so it does cause your body to naturally produce Test. Hcg's primary purpose is to keep the testicles from shrinking while on a prolonged Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) cycle. Hcg is used during post cycle therapy (pct) to "prime the pump" so to speak, by stimulating the testicles to produce Testosterone during post cycle therapy (pct) until your natural levels of LH are back to normal.
