hypertrophy routine after strength base?

Assume that someone has built up a strong strength base with compound movements. They have been following a powerlifting like routine and can now bench 315 for reps and squat and deadlift 450-500. If their goal is mass, rather than strength, how at this point in their training should they change their routine? Many here say that your goal should be strength until you reach this level, but I'm not sure how you should transition your routine to maximize mass after you have reached this level in strength.
 
It depends on your recovery level. If you recover great, you can transition to doing more sets with higher reps for a large portion of your training. If you recover fair to poorly, you will have to cycle in and out your volume. Waved volume routines are great for this. Or....you can keep focusing on getting stronger and grow from that:D

I've had great results doing HST type routines after strength oriented training routines. Personally, I like to change routines every now and then...
