I’m breaking my wrists can someone help?

Hello ???
Hi guys, So any way I’m at a point right now were my wrists cant support the weight I want to lift. Like for example if I’m doing curls with the straight 45lb bar and I’m doing 105lb and it’s really KILLING my wrists. The thing is that I know I could add another 10lbs easy but not so easy on my wrists if I do. And this goes for the same and even worse a little bit when I use the curling bar on the preacher bench. Just kills my wrist. What do I do? I guess I know the answer or the obvious one any way would be to what stay at the weight I’m at or even drop it 5 or 10 lbs to stay safe from injury…Did I answer my own question? Or would you guys wrap your wrists really good when doing these exercises and continue with the same weight or even add another 10lbs?

I dont think adding more weight or wrapping the wrist would be the answer bro. Wrist wraps just prevent your wrists from getting stronger. I had this problem and I know it sucks cause it effects all your pressing exercises. I switched from the olympic BB to the shortie BB and too a closer grip. I imagine the wider the grip the more it hurts.

You training your forearms at all. I would take off from working your arms for a week or so and start doing some light wrist curls with the DB. It worked me for me man hope it works for you.

I am presuming your on AAS and have you had a good increase in poundages with your lifts? Looking at your posts and rep power I maybe teaching you to suck eggs here. As I am sure you are aware withh AAS one of the side effects is that tendons ligaments etc do not develop as quickly as muscles. It maybe a simple case of you need to give it time for the joint supporting structures to adapt in otherwords dont increase weight untill the pain stops.

However plenty of taping vids on YT if you want to give that a try. YouTube - Wrist, Hand, Thumb Tape Job.

Excellent guys thank you.. And yes I’m on a cycle as we speak and yes I do train my forearms and even more right now and doing a bunch of wrists curls to try and strengthen my wrists. OK so I deff will not increase weight and maybe I’ll take that advice and take a week off from arms and let this slight pain that i am feeling right now at my desk subsides a little before i turn this in to a full fledged injury. Just feel like I’m wasting a work out if I cant max out but I just can't max out and i guess that's just that.. My cycle is all most finished any way so i might even switch all together to a lower weight more rep type work out and really give my wrists a chance to heal up and hopefully strengthen up as well.. Thank you guys for your input...

Wrist curls would def. help in my opinion. But I know from experience that when Im doing shoulders, doing BB raises my wrists kill.

I have to wrap them and then I can do them fine. Its only for that exercise so I feel like Im not hurting myself growth wise too bad.

You might want to give it a shot, I just use athletic tape, use it for the exercise and then take it off. Can't hurt to try and see if you like it.

a neoprene sleeve and sports rub put on your wrist a hour or so before lifting to warm the joint and get the blood flowing to the joint along with something for inflammation.
