I need help! what am I taking?

I have been taking Depo - Tesosterone (testoserone cypionate) my insurance sent 2 bottels of Ultra test 200 to my Dr. office in my name. It says on the bottle Testosterone Cypionate 160mg & Testosterone Propionate 40mg.
I switched to the new stuff because the exp. date was Nov 2012 and the other was not until 2015.
The new stuff burned going in (quad) has been a little swollen, very sore and worm to the touch. I don't know if this is a problem. the area is not red but hurts pretty bad.
I don't know what Testosterone Propionate is. When I first started the Depo - Testosterone the area hurt for a few days but was not warm to the touch and was not swollen. Should I call the Dr.? I included the photos incase more info was needed.

Post injection pain can occur for a number of different reasons. If it doesn't subside within a week I'd let ur doctor know. But post Injrction pain happens often..it will most likely subside.

Prop will also cause a burn before any of the longer esters such as Cyp. I am not sure if it is due to the faster dissipation rate or what. I would not worry about it either unless it lasted a week like Youngblood mentioned above.

It is most likely due to the prop, the main reason it can cause some irritation is because of the acetic acid in the propionate ester. It will usually subside once your body becomes accustomed to it

Yes u are correct prop can sometimes cause PIP. However I have had some prop that caused 0 pip. But I think you t right its cause it is absored faster leaving behind small crystals in the depot causing some slight pain. I'm not for sure, but for some reason that's wat comes to mind. Haha.

So the swelling and warm to the touch is normal as well? I know when I first started injecting the whole muscle was sore for a few days. This is more in a 2" areas around the injection site. Also can you guys see the photos I attached? I can't. I never attached photos on this board before.

I'm not sure it was very confusing. The insurance company sent 2 bottles to my Doctors office in my name. He could not explain this and neither could I. He said take it home and use it. Since it has a shorter shelf life then the bottle i was using I switch. Its not all prop only 40mg the other 160mg is cyp. But the injection sight still hurts to the touch and I don't seem to feel as good as I did on the other bottle I was using. Not sure what to do? Do to my high co pay it is costing me $110.00 per bottle so it was like I saved $220.00 because the doctor didn't charge me and I have not got a bill from the insurance company. but if it hurts and doesn't work as good I am not gaining anything. I'm open to suggestions.

You need to speak with your doctor about it if your going the Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) route.

It will simply take a little getting used to, the prop may be giving you some test flu. It should subside and be back to normal in a couple days.

Still have the pain in the injection site. I don't feel like this new stuff is working. Now my test results while on the old stuff are way up (separate thread) I am very confused.

Should I try it again? I was going to stop using it thinking I don't tolerate it well. Is it a reaction you get the first time and then it gets better?
