I'm guessing this post will be atypical.

I want to get leaner, lighter and faster!

Why?

I race mountain bikes.

I'm 6'2 and 190 pounds.

I train 12 hours a week on the bike

I work core and upper body 3 times a week.

My goals:

I want to get down to 175 pounds.
Lean!

I want to improve my recovery rate from training sessions. I'm in my 40's.

Gain strength/power.
It's all about power to weight ratio, in my sport. Goal is to have high power at lowest weight.

Questions:

1. Should I go directly to a "Bioidentical Hormone" clinic and get T, thyroid and DHEA tablets? These come from labs like "MedQuest".

2. I live in San Diego. Should I go down to TJ and buy from a pharmacy? Save a lot of money?

3. Are there "consultants" out there who can give good advice on this topic?

I'm all ears.

Thanks for any/all feedback!

yes, there are certain compounds that will help you gain the strength your looking for..

but 80% of your success will come with a proper nutritious diet geared for your goals...

have you ever thought about hiring a nutritionst??

you should be working your lower body and not just upper body. The deadlift, lowbar squat and powerclean should really help with your sport, more so than upper body.

hey man im trying to get some supplements also in tj i live here in san diego and was thinking about going across the border let me know whats up....

TJ is a waste of time if you want your gear to be real. Regarding Mountain Biking on gear; be careful with that as you may have adverse effects on your Cardio depending on what you take. My sports also rely on strength to weight ratio and I have done everything over 20 years. For your build, you do not need gear at all. Just my opinion through years of experience. I am 6'5 210 and 6% BF. On gear I can get to 230 but my cardio performance suffers huge. You may just want to experiment with a mild kicker suppliment like Anavar and Primo if you want to stay lean, but almost everything will add a bit of bulk. There are plenty of mild stacks you can do to drop some pounds, but at 190 and 6'2 you already sound pretty lean.
