You should get one of these. The Ducati Streetfighter is the perfect bike imo. 1100 cc Italian Desmo without all the plastic crap. That Victory is pretty sweet looking though. Sorry, I know nothing about Victory bikes.

I picked up my Ducati Multistrada 1200 and have never looked back. I love everything about the bike. In your case, if you are considering the Victory I would at least take a look at some used Harleys. There are a ton of them out there right now. Find one owned by a RUB (Rich Urban Biker) that has been serviced correctly and you can't go wrong. Don't forget your gear as well. No need to spend all that time and effort to build muscle and then let the pavement take it off for you
