increasing anavar dose?

i have been on 10mg of anavar each day for 8.5 weeks now. I am planning on staying on it for 16 wks.
i have had a few signs of sides - the phlegmy throat, oily skin, a little bit of acne - but the acne mostly only when im menstrating.
question is - i am not noticing much difference anymore as far as leaning out and size. i realize the effects of anavar are subtle and come slower, but i was wondering about upping the dose to 15mg per day.
is that ok at this point. or should i stay where i am?
i feel that i have monitored my sides, i have gauged my progress weekly, and i wonder if i am experiencing somewhat of a plateau. i dont want to seem impatient - and i dont feel that i am getting the "competitor panic" that comes when close to show. I would really appreciate a little guidance here, since upping the dose isnt a little decision.

The bottom line is anavar just does not work well for some. It is often thought th be a good fat burner but lots believe it is overated. You could be one who does not get much out of anavar.

If you do up the dose you are risking permanent side effects such as the deep voice.

If you are not worried about permanent side effects than feel free to up the dose. I would do 12.5 but it's up to you. You are the one taking the risk.

Usually by 8.5 weeks most see some changes.

I suspect your training or diet is probably more of the problem than the anavar.
 
im sure your right - my diet is so restricted and im training to the max that its hard to put on size when that depleted.
im gonna think about it. i get my blood work results here soon, and if all is well, then i'll probably up it and see. if not, i'll stay where i am.

Post up your diet. I'm wondering if it is too restrictive causing you to hold onto fat.
 
this was yesterday:
8a.m 8mg ephedrine and 200mg caffeine and cardio - interval 45 min
8:45 - 1 scoop isolate protein and 30g oats = 231 cals/ 20.5 carbs/ 31 protein/ 2fat

11:00 - 4 oz chicken (boiled then with a bit of chili powder and cayenne pepper) and 25g of steamed yams = 153 cals/7 carbs /28 protein/0 fat

1:00 - 4oz chicken, 1cup broccoli, 25g brussel sprouts = 164 cals/ 6.5 carbs/ 32 protein, 0 fat

3:30- 3oz chicken, 50g brussel sprouts, 2 tsp fish oil = 203 cals/ 5 carbs/ 23 protein, 8 fat

5:30 (pre workout) 1 scp isolate protein, 2 rice cakes = 181 cals/ 14.5 carbs/ 29 protein, 1 fat

5:45 - 16mg ephedrine and 300mg caffeine then lift weights
8:00 immediately after in the change room i take 1 oz of amino liquid - 54 cals/ 2.5 carbs/ 11 protein/ 0 fat

8:00 - 2oz potato, 5 egg whites 137 cals/ 12 carbs/ 22 protein/ 0 fat
and bcaa powder

10:00 - 2 scoops whey protein with 10g glutamine - 180 cals/ 4 carbs/ 32 protein/ 3 fat

by 10:30 - bed.

I total this all up and its approx. 1303 calories, 72g carbs, 206 protein and 14 fat.
i just went down to these amounts this week - for the last few weeks before this i was up at 1400 cals and 100 carbs. the only fat i take in now is from fish oil, although today i am trying the flax oil instead - because for about 4 days i have been passing my fish oil right out into the toilet bowl, if you can imagine. and i felt like shit. i had rumble guts/ diarrhea feeling in my stomach and then there would be all this oil in the toilet. it only happened for about 4 days, so i though i would try flax instead. not sure if that has anything to do with any of this, but i thought i would tell ya that in case it does? if it isnt relevant, sorry you had to read about that :)

what do you think about this diet for 7 weeks out?

i guess i am dropping weight. at 6 months out i weighed 138, 5 months out i was 132, 4 months out i was 130, 3 months out i was 127 and 2 months out i was 124. i am now 7 weeks out and i weigh 123 lbs.
i am guessing i am about 13% bf and i want to be 8% on stage in 7 weeks.

Your diet looks pretty good. Under 1400 cals seems low but at 1303 you should be safe. I might replace the rice cakes with a better carb source like brown rice but 2 rice cakes isn't alot.

I suggest you replace your protein shakes with whole food. The whole food will cause thermogenesis...it stokes your metabolism because it is harder to digest than a liquid protein shake and your metabolism works harder and burns more cals.

When I was on contest diet I wasn't allowed a single protein shake at all because of that reason.

What weight do you want to be on contest day approximately. If you want to be about 110 I think you will be good and if you plateau you can even do cardio twice a day....45 in morning and 15-20 a few evenings.

If you want to be105-100 it may be more difficult.
 
well the last time i competed i was 113lbs at 12% but this time i want to be 8%, and i have put on approx. 5 lbs or so of lean mass i would guess, since then. so at 8% i was hoping to be about 110 to 112 lbs.

i will switch the protein shakes for real food. see what that does for me. so hard to do, haha, my oats and powder in the morning is my favorite meal of the day!
but whatever it takes....

just to follow up as well, i switched from fish oil to flax oil...no problems so far, so im thinking my body just didnt like that fish oil.
it is taking forever for my blood work results to come back, and i didnt want to bump up the dose until i see what it looks like. i feel good, so i am very tempted to try 12.5mg for a bit and check it out. what should i look for? i guess what im wondering is, how do i know that 12.5 is good or if i would be safe going to 15mg. i suppose as long as my sides stay put, i should be ok?
i do have a little hint of a sore throat, to be honest. very little, only notice it in the a.m and once and awhile when i swallow.

My wife had to run 20mg per day just to get anything out of it. Started out with 10mg for a while and got absolutely nothing out of it. At 20mg strength went up but she also got bloated so she quit. Anavar (var) isnt suppose to cause water rentention but unfortunately it does in alot of females. In my opinon, it isnt all its cracked up to be. Ive used it a couple times also and been disappointed.
 
I would do 12.5 before 15. Fish oil is preferable to flax but if you feel your body can't handle it try flax. You can definately get down to 110-113 in your time remaining. With just water depleting you can lost 4-8 pounds.

You'll probably notice an increase in all sides with the increase but also an increase in the positives like the "gains".

My first thought was that it was fake anavar. 20 mg is quite a bit. I guess all women are different but maybe you didn't have the greatest anavar?
 
No, it was good anavar. . After about 4 weeks on 20mg day her clitoris started to enlarge so thats a telltale sign its a legitimate hormone. But no other virilization symptoms so i highly doubt it was anythign else because at that dose there surely wouldve been more androgenic activity like hair growth, voice changes, etc, if it had been pretty much any other steroid.


When i took it it acted like Anavar (var) is supposed to one me: great strength increases, no water retention, general muscle hardness, but i saw no body recomposition taking place. Tren is the only steroid ive ever experienced that with. So based on the price of anavar and its lack of decent results i never personally recommend it to anyone.

i went up to 12.5mg yesterday and today. i'll go till the end of this week at that and see. if all is well, then i'll try 15mg.
