Hello Everyone
May I start off by asking for patience as I am brand new to the forum.
My Dr called me today with results from my blood work. He indicated I have low T, and asked me to come in tomorrow to discuss TRT.

Any suggestions on what I should do, ask, testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) options I should lean toward/against, etc? Again, I am new to this and just trying to figure out the best way to approach things.

Thanks in advance for your help and patience with a newbie.

Tell him to put you right away on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) :p jk. he won't tell you much as this is your general doctor and will surely send you for further examinations. You will have to certainly see other specialists like for instance endocrinologist and perhaps even urologist to check you testiculars. there are many reasons for low t lvl, so be sure to get proper examinations by specialist before deciding on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). How old are you anyway?

It depends on your Dr. Mine is a real cool guy, middle aged, and totally understanding. I was like "can I just give myself shots? That other stuff seems like a pain in the ass." He said "sure, I think injections are the best way to go, and if you can do it yourself, it will be a lot easier." Started me on 200 mg Test Cyp EOW (which I told him I was going to break up into 100 EW). Go back for a blood test in 3 months to make sure things are in check, and make adjustments from there. Easy peasy.

My guy is a GP and internist, graduated from Kansas St. (I don't hold it against him though) :D

The nice thing is, he started in veterinary medicine, so I ask him questions about my dog when I go in, too .... LMAO.

My Dr is a GP, so I am not sure what to expect. He has sent me to a Urologists for some additional tests as well.

I am 44, married with no kids, and have no plans to have any.

I am scheduled to see him today, so I will report back with his recommendations.

Thanks
JB
