Hi guys. Can anyone here speak from experience about infections from jabbing. A week ago I shot 2ml BD TEst Cyp into left glute. I have done this many times before, most a bit sore for day or two, some almost painless. This time I'm worried. The injection itself was painless but on day 3 it was very sore. When I tense my butt it is very swollen. It is now day seven and pain is no worse but really not any better. I hadnt noticed any redness or heat but just now it looks a bit pink. I have just returned from gym. About hour half ago I gave the area a slight massage in Jaccuzzi. This could be the redness i suppose. What I really want to know is if I have an infection should it be very obvious now after a week or could it still be small. Would the pain be getting worse daily. Can anyone advise. Would rather not have to go to Docs for anti-b's. Thanks gyuys
First make sure the gear is clean...are you positive it isn't a fake?
If that checks out I'd make sure that you are injecting when you are clean and all the tools are clean. Right after a shower, new pin, alcohol swab etc...
When I shoot I massage the area right after and find that that helps...
I have had some pain where it feels like a knot that has lasted a few days but goes away after a few.
Also, are you rotating your shot locations? I do in this order...each glute, each thigh, each pec, each delt, each bicep, each tricep...
If you do al of that then I would seriously consider going to the doctor...the doc won't call the cops or anything(patient/doctor confidentiality), you should never lie to your doctor...be honest.
There have been cases of infection that resulted in portions of muscles have had to be removed permanently because they didn't get it checked out pronto, you don't want that.
