Insomnia

JOWS6

I am banned!
My endo has put me on a 100mg's of Clomid for 5 days to see how my HPTA reacts. These last few nights I've been having trouble falling asleep and wake up earlier than usual. Anyone have sleeping difficulties while on Clomid?

If the Clomid was successful and jump started my testosterone production, maybe the increase in testosterone has interfered with my sleep? Anyone notice trouble sleeping when going on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT)? I know Clomid is not TRT.

I've finished my 4 days and I was taking it around 5PM, one night I forgot to take it at 5 and took it around 8 when I remembered.

on my pct's I've always taken it literally right before my head hits the pillow and it's never caused me any problems. Injecting test on the other hand gives me insomnia real bad if I pin anytime after like 5pm. Maybe try taking it in the am instead, just take it with breakfast every morning or something and see if it makes a difference.

I've never had a problem sleeping and starting testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) was no different. 5 minutes after I'm in bed, I'm out. That being said I have heard of some people having difficulty sleeping after starting a protocol. Do you smoke, drink caffeine, eat chocolate or anything like that after 2pm? That's usually something that people miss. Stimulants after 2pm or so can really affect your sleep. Please keep us posted on this.

i wish the endo's in this part of the country would do more for support with men on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) here, the ones here, wont even help with estrogen control:chainsaw:

The dose is too high. Clomid is an estrogen. And it is probably raising your test enough that is then raising your e2 to high.

I noticed insomnia off it and nasty headache next day after taking 50 mg tabs...
Chucked 'em and said forget it.

You can also try taking Melatonin quick dissolving tablets (put them under your tongue) as you lay down to sleep, it will help you get to sleep.

Clomid actually just blocks estradiol from being seen by the hypothalamus; which calls for an increase of estradiol (which increases testosterone in the process) - it's not quite the same as just taking estradiol, which would be no bueno for us men. :)

Old thread, but I'll just put out there that sex cures my inability to sleep. :)

I have sleeping difficulties on dbol if I take it in the evening. Tren is also an offender, or any other androgen in a high dosage.

Try mild sleeping aids. Melatonin works for a lot of guys. I use Elavil 50mg 2-3 hrs before I want to be snoozing. Do get sleep though. It is very important for us.
