insulin question

a buddy of mine has been a diabetic for years. I haven't seen him for many months until the other day at the gym, we began talking about gear and some other stuff and I told him I might be interested in using insulin in a few years but I wasnt sure yet. He told me that using insulin would stop natural insulin production and would essentially make you a diabetic when I stopped use. Is this true?

With extended use. Yes. Don't even bother thinking about insulin use. How many cycles have you done?? Are you planning on being a national level competitor?? Are you taking high amounts of gh??? If not then there is no need. Yes it's highly anabolic, but so are AAS.

You need a lot of knowledge and experience before ever considering anything like this. It's just a bad idea.

I'm not sure using insulin would stop you from producing it in the long term, but perhaps it could make you insulin resistant.

I have used insulin numerous times. Longest period I have used insulin would have been
3 months.

With regards to usage in BB, I believe it is the most dangerous of all. Diuretics would be up there and so would t3 and clen.

My recommendation is to stay away from it.

My worst case of hypoglycemia occured about 2 years ago. I was dieting, carb cycling with a really low amount of carbs, very close to ketosis. Well, it was my refeed day. And refeed I did. Consumed aprox 8k cals, and a good portion of carbs. I was fucking stuffed from eating all day.

About an hour before supper I took either 3 or 4 iu of insulin. Made a shake with carbs just to makr sure I wasn't going to go hypo. On my way out for supper I started to go hypo. Drank my drink and continued to drive.

All of a sudden my blood sugar went down cobsiderably. I had to pull over for an emergency stop at a gas station. By the time stepped through the doors my heart rate was maxed out, easily 200+ bpm. My vision was foggy, started to sweat, and couldn't even think straight.

At this point my only thought was survival. Should I get the cashier to call 911? Not enough time. The only way I knew to survive was find some sugar. I made my way to the fridge, grabbed a bottle of Powerade, read the label and chugged. 60g of carbs later, or was it 90, I was still fucked. I grabbed another and slammed that back. Could only get half of it down as I felt like I was gonna puked, because I was so fucking full. And still felt I was gonna die.

It took me about 3 minutes or so to regain the level of conciousness that was necessary to pay. Must have looked like a fucking junky doing so: chugging Powerade, pale as fuck, sweaty, shaking, and just straight tripping.

I survived though. Couldn't eat barely anything for the rest of the night. Had to sip on Coca-Cola for an hour or so afterward. Felt like ass for the rest of the night and the next day. The hypoglycemia felt like it fucked my brain and heart up good.

So ya, go ahead and take insulin if you want.

Good post pitbull. It's not that you can't do it, but even when very well thought out, things happen. When hypo hits, it hits hard and you need to be prepared.

great post pit....find yourself a medic or a hook up and get yourself some dextrose...shit will wake you up instantly from hypoglycemic shock ;) but you will still feel like shit for a while like you said

Dextrose can be found at any wine making place.

well there you go!!! Thats what we give hypoglycemic shock and coma patients in the field...pop a bag of dextrose and start an iv...poof awake! It makes me feel like ive saved the day lol but it really fucks up there blood sugar levels for awhile. We prefer getting to them before this happens but that is not usually the case

In my experience with insulin, I found out that I was insulin resistant. I could inject up to 15-20IU at once. As I did this with frequency, my body could only handle lower doses to the point where I could only take 10IU each time.

Insulin did nothing for me, it may do wonders for some people, just not for me.

I doubt taking insulin for periods of time that it would stop your pancreas from making it.IMO

Long period of use can possibly make you Type 2.

I think insulin ruined bodybuilding. The extended guts. Look at someone like Dexter Jackson compared to many others. The lines, stomach, etc. All nicely proportioned. Not protruding.
