Insulin resistance and GH

I have been on GH for about 13 months now. IMO, it works great. Huck recommended that I take a month off of the GH before I cut. I don't think that I am insulin resistant, but you never know. I am still lean and eating whatever I want. I would like to hear from some other people who have used GH for a while. One concern of mine was that if I take a month off, I will have to kind of "reload" with the GH, as it takes a while to see effects. Any comments are appreciated.

if your on and have enough to stay on, stay on..if worried about insulin resistance try adding low doses of insulin(either humilin-r or humalog), or maybe try glucophage, or even r-ala. also what dose are you runin of the GH??

Get a glucose meter, check your blood sugars. Do 1 when you first get up, then 2 hours after breakfast. The normal range of 70-120ng/ml, you should be back to the normal range 2 hours after you eat, no higher then 140ng/ml. If you are higher then 140 your insulin resistant.

I would say your best bet at that time is some advandia or actso. I read a study that showed actso improved hdl to ldl ratio. Both work at the muscle cells, so if you are insulin resistant your muscles will get the nutrients that insulin is trying to put in them.

The thing about adding slin at this point is, if your resisting it what is more going to do, it'll just be more to resist. The pancreas usually starts producing more slin when you become resistant to it. So I don't think slin would help at this point.

On monitoring your blood sugars. Do fasting 1 day, then after your second meal the next and so on until you come back to the wake up(fasting) check. If you start the advandia or actso, keep monitoring your blood to see if the drug is working. Give it at least 3-4 weeks to work.

Best way to overcome HGH-induced insulin resistance is strict diet and training. High protein, moderate clean carbs (oatmeal, beans/legumes, rice, green vegetables), and low clean fat (olive oil, monosaturates). Insulin supp will not help, for you are already insulin resistant. More insulin doesn't cure the problem. Glucophage has not been proven to work, and people who use Avandia gain fat. Stay with strict diet for bulking. Of course, for fat loss, go to low carb.

I've heard of water retention as a possible side effect with advandia, what about actso?

If you stop for a month and your bf% is pretty low, you should be able to retain physique with AAS. Of course, you have to still watch your diet.

Will a month off help insulin resistance from HGH? I guess I should be asking will insulin sensitivity restore after a month off?
