Is cycling ruining my potential.

Im worried that by coming off of gear completely between cycles I am completely stunting my progress.

For example; on my second and most recent cycle I worked my way up to 585 x 6 on the deadlift.

to do that I spent approx 2 grand a month for 3 months.

$1000/month for food
$700/month supps
$250/month drugs

However I have been off of all drugs and supplements for exactly 3 months and now I stuggle to pull 545 for a single. Which is less than what I was pulling naturally before the cycle.

Obviously I am aware that you lose strength coming off, but should I be falling below what I was at naturally?

This did not happen to me with my first cycle.

If I would like to be a "good" strongman competetor one day, would it benefit me more to stay on and bridge my cycles with 250 test?

After you've reached a certain level with your lifting, is there any point in training au natural again?

To reach my maximum potential:
I know what my diet shoud look like.
I know what my training should consist of.
But what about my drug intake?

Thank you for taking the time to read this. You thoughts and opinions on this matter are of great importance to me and very much appreciated.

The one thing that got me thinking is if you are recovering properly.do you get blood tests after cycle to see that your back to normal and all your levels are fine?

another thing is you may not be giving yourself time to recover, burning out your body too much? You wear your body solid during cycle, and although recovery is at its best,it does not mean that you cant hit a weak point.after every 2 and a half months of training i take 2 weeks off to let my body catch up,especially after a cycle.

what is your height and weight? Props on 585x6, that's very strong pulling bro.

Thanks Snigg; I'm 6'4" 310lbs.

Thanks Dleato; I did have bloodwork done a couple weeks ago. My T levels are not 100%, I doubt they ever will be again. I am however back within the "normal" range.

I stay on at least 500mg of Test and 300mg of Deca pretty much all the time unless I decide to throw Tren or something else in. My point is; I made this personal decision because I never liked the feeling you have when you come off. Even with post cycle therapy (pct), you will never be the same person you are when you are on. Am I telling you to do this....absolutely not. I do know how you feel though and that's why I made the decision I did.

Ogre,
When on cycle your muscle sensories are at full steam the muscle to brain connection is strong as the AAS you are using allow you to have the ability to move the most weight and make the most gains. What I tell a lot of people doing cycles is to stay within a rep range that will allow you to still do the weight off-cycle. For instance let's say you do bench press 405 for 6. You would be better off doing 375 for 10-12 reps on cycle because off cycle you will probably cut those reps down to 6-8.
So many people make the mistake of maxing out weight while on the juice and thus either end up injuring self or create a false security of manipulating the mind and body to move the heaviest weight loads possible. Strength is great but size is what matters. On cycle you should be focused on building solid mass that will stay around after cycle. Now granted you will lose some depending on a lot of variables which are tough to predict. However, do yourself a favor by dropping poundages and allow your body to give you more in return on cycle -muscle mass, not just strength.

its a huge head game the 1st time around it probably didnt effect you as much you have to learn to lift without gear once in a while dont be that guy try a injectable pt may help

My thoughts are:

Why stop supplements when you cycle off? That is the time you need the help the most, so keep running the creatine, protein, etc. Although DAMN! that is a lot of money in supps.

There are several great threads about keeping gains and keeping it going between cycles. RJ has some of the best tips I think. Keep up the cals, lower intensity a little, keep on the creatine. I don't believe you mentioned your age. Staying on and never cycling off has its obvious results. Sure, this is the way to go if you are ready to be on gear or HRT/TRT forever, but most still recommend cycling for all the obvious reasons.
