Is there doctor support with Maximus? Does the doc tell you when to get new blood work done to make sure you arent over treating with test? Is the estrogen level checked? Does the liver & kidney enzymes get looked at? Can you speak to the doctor or is it only Chip that you talk to? Why doesnt the doc tell you what you need? Instead you pick what you want to start??? Why cant I get a prescription so my insurance covers my treatment? Am I the only one with these questions?

Hrt clinics have they're little corner of the market, they get their clients from people who are tired of dealing with know it all doctors who really don't know sh@t.

Alot gp are followers..

They do not accept insurance because they're smart, once they do, the ins company are going to pull the strings...

And chip does advise for you to get regular blood work

Thank god for capitalism

Yes there are Docs on staff, they do check the bloodwork you mention and then the Doctor makes the final decision based on your case. While I cannot comment about access to the Doctor you do not get to 'pick' and it is the Doctor who rescribes the medications for you. Not all compounds are appropriate for all patients. Your insurance may cover this but you will need to go through your local doc. TRT/HRT clinics are 'elective'.

The principal difference is that the medical professionals at clinics like Chip's are much more well-versed in Hypogonadism, associated male hormone disorders and appropriate treatments than your doctor is likely to be and this is what you are paying for. Anyone who has attempted to get treatment through insurance and been stone-walled can and will tell you this solution is WELL worth the price you pay!

In terms of getting a prescription it's a cost/benefit thing. It takes time and effort to get you a copy of your prescription that your insurance may or may not end up covering. In your mind it takes 5-10 minutes. Multiply that by the large number of clients that Chip and his doctors work with and that adds up to a lot of time. That time needs to be paid for by someone and that means much higher rates for the clients. Chip's doc fess are VERY reasonable because they don't deal with all the BS. Next time you go to your general practitioner ask them how much more productive and how much less they would have to spend (ie charge) if they didn't have to deal with all of that and see what they say.

I went to chip because I was tired of wasting time and money trying to go through reg docs and I knew what I wanted - TRT/HRT.

I go to Maximus for my testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) needs and my primary for gen health concerns.

The ideal would be to find a local doc whos on the up and up with testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) but good luck finding that!!

Chip is not pretending to be a doctor. He's a consultant who knows a ton more about testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) than most docs.

If i have a problem or concern I email Chip and get a response like in 15 minutes. Try doing that with a doctors office.

Another thing i like about Maximus is they don't try and sell you a bunch of crap you don't need. If you want extra stuff you can talk to Chip about it and see if it's right for you.

I'm a libertarian and to me this is how health care should be.

82nd Killer- As a current Maximus Client, I think I am also qualified to answer your questions:

Is there doctor support with Maximus?
Yes, there are doctors involved with Maximus. Maximus could not prescribe medications otherwise.

Does the doc tell you when to get new blood work done to make sure you arent over treating with test?
The doctor(s) on staff at Maximus recommend a blood panel every 2-3 months

Is the estrogen level checked?
Yes, estrogen levels are checked via blood panel

Does the liver & kidney enzymes get looked at?
Yes both are checked via blood panel

Can you speak to the doctor or is it only Chip that you talk to?
Yes you can speak to the doctor. Chip can only recommend protocol, just as you and I could too, but the doctor makes the final call based on your blood panel.

Why doesnt the doc tell you what you need? The doctor does prescribe protocol suited for the individual's needs. See answer to above question.

Instead you pick what you want to start??? No. The doctor prescribes your protocol, again, based on individual need.

Why cant I get a prescription so my insurance covers my treatment?
Good luck getting your insurance to cover HRT...I tried to go through my GP to get on TRT...insurance wouldn't cover it... Maximus uses a compounding pharmacy that offers very reasonable pricing on the EXACT meds that I would have to pay much more for through Walgreens, CVS and the like.

Am I the only one with these questions?
It appears to be so...

Maximus Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) has changed my life for the better. I'm sure many on this board will tell you the same regarding their experience with Maximus. If you are looking to get world class Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) care, I would suggest Maximus Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT).

Good luck to you!

Yes, the levels you asked about are checked - though any GP I saw about Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) never checked e2 or liver/kidney enzymes.

I've never had to talk to the doctor - I'd prefer to talk to Chip anyway. He puts things in language I understand and he's so well-versed, what else can a doctor say other than add medicalese that doesn't mean anything to 99.9% out there.

Why can't you get an rx that your insurance will cover? you're the only one who will know that - talk to your insurance company. Even when seeing GPs on Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) with double medical insurance coverage (mine and my wife's - different insurance companies), the only thing they'd cover was the doctor visit. Never covered anything Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) related. One GP's office spent a ton of time trying to convince insurance company to cover androgel and they'd cover a small part of the rx in the end (only reason the GP worked that hard is because I paid a premium otherwise no doc would do that - many are simply sol).

However, why is a few hundred every few months a big deal for the benefit you get?

Maximus is 100% legit Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) clinic.. Before starting w/ them you will need current bloodwork, a physical, and finish the medical questioarre..Bloods are monitored throughout treatment.. If I want to talk Maximus Doctors I can.. In fact I had an appt w/ him and I got stuck at work and missed my appt.. All meds come shipped in presciption bottles that are in my name.. When ordering my prescription, I converse w/ Chip about what we both feel is best for me.. We come to a conclusion of what he thinks is best.. From there the Doc has to sign off on it and send the script to the pharmacy..
I lost more money missing days of work looking for a doctor which knows how to treat Hypogonadism than I have spent in 4 months w/ Maximus.. I'm a little confused as to why you came up w/ these false assumptions about how Maximus is run? Best of Luck to you..

He's probably just never done things outside of insurance. At least, he asked and got the straight info!

Hey 82,

I wanted to start out by thanking you for your military service.

Since you’ve been a member of ology since 2003 and you've had nearly 10 years of underground steroid cycle experience (according to your other posts on this site) it appears to me you are not approaching Chip and Maximus with the respect he has earned from his existing clients and other members of this board.

With very little research you could have easily answered the very elementary questions that you presented in this thread.

I am curious do you have another agenda? Or, do you fundamentally not believe that there are people, most of whom are over 40, whose lives are absolutely transformed by legitimate Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) from clinics?

You’ll find that most doc’s (including endo’s with rare exception) have little clue how to properly administer proper HRT/TRT. There are literally dozens of threads and my personal experience that proves this true. Clinics such as Maximus specialize in only providing HRT/TRT and have learned from thousands of real men exactly what is required to achieve the result. I am talking about a better, more sexually satisfying, more productive, healthier, happier, more optimistic life.

If that is your true goal then don’t worry about whether it’s covered by your insurance. You’ll find that value is much more important than cost. I believe you’d find most of Chip’s clients would gladly pay more because what we have gotten is our quality of life back.

How do you put a price on that?

In OP's defense. When I started testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and really wanted to go with maximus, my parents were compeletely against me going thru an online clinic and wanted me to go thru a doc. They kept throwing those questions that 82 has and more to me. I knew how legit and great of a company maximus was and I very convinced after reading all the life transforming stories here but my parents being old school just couldnt under stand the new generation way of doing business. Now many things are done online and I am glad for that because I cant find the kind of service chip provides from any doc out there.

I'm hoping that 82nd got his questions answered. Thanks for all the help, guys. As business continues to grow by the day, it obviously makes it more and more difficult to always get on here and answer questions that everyone has. Thanks for all the support for myself and "team maximus"!
