I mean we work out chest heavy on every monday but is it a bad idea to just get a good pump on chest thur. as well. It is a dumb question to ask but i believe it isnt a bad choice. i train chest every 5-6 days. just because someone somewhere in history divided our yearlong orbit around the sun into 7 day weeks doesn't mean you have to fit a workout schedule into them.

My personal opinion is that it is different for everyone. I personally do a three day routine twice a week right now but every 4-6 weeks I change my routine and there will be times that I only do each muscle once a week. The key for myself is to change things up when I plateau and force myself to the next level.

Actually man this is not such a bad idea at all. If you lifting heavy and tearing those muscle fibers up on monday, then it would actually be beneficial to you to do some kind of chest day on thursday or friday that allows for alot of blood and nutrients to go to that area to help recovery. So maybe use the thursday workout to get in some higher reps and get a good pump going on.
