Just Curious...testosterone

Hey I am a ex-football player and Kansas State, played Oline and Dline, my stats are 6-3 and 282 right now, roughly 18-19% bodyfat. Not playing football anymore, and workout frequently still. Just wondering any advice for a first cycle, I havent done a cycle before due to drug testing laws even though my coach assured us we wouldn't get tested haha, or caught for a matter of fact. But i am looking at cutting to 240 and then using a cycle, just wondering some advice from experienced users, dont need a whole post on nutrition or how to weight lift properly im well aware of that, just wanted some advice for a cycle. thnks.

basicly a first cycle is testosterone only, and for 10 to 12 weeks. with a post cycle therapy with clomid.

the dosage vary between 400mg/ week to maximum 600mg/week.

the PCT start 10 days after last injection. 50mg of clomid per day for 18 days.
 
I am also starting my first cycle here soon. I'm trying not to highjack your thread. You can yell at me if you want. haha

Kane is right. Keep with one compound. It allows you to know how your body reacts to the test. Don't want 2 compounds you wont know what is causing the sides.

I've been doing my research and this is what i have come up with. I want one of the vets to double check this too. It might be something good to reference to.

Kane kept his pretty simple. I might be going over kill. So someone tell me if i am.
One thing you will read alot about is AIs, Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG), and post cycle therapy (pct). Make sure you understand what they are and what they do before you dive in to anything.

Question for Kane or anyone else that knows. Why on a basic cycle does no one mention HCG or and AI?

this is what i had planned. It might be over kill.
250mg mon/thur test e week 1-15
(AI) Aromasin 25mg EOD. weeks 1-17.
HCG 500 ui mon/thur weeks 1-15. 1500ui weeks 16-17
PCT
Clomid 10 days after last test shot.
4 weeks 100mg/50/50/50

Am i missing something? or does this sound over kill for a simple test e cycle?

I think HCG should be recommended for a cycle of 10-12 weeks, if not for every cycle. It'll make your recovery faster, first cycle or eighth.

I like the idea of running an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) the whole time i am on cycle same with HCG. some say not needed but it's not much for hcg or an Aromatase inhibitor (AI). better save than sorry.
 
Kane had it right. Test only with clomid as post cycle therapy (pct). I like running Aromasin (AI) during all my cycles do to bloating issues; 12.5-25mg ED.

Have you thought about injection sights??? Needles???? Do you have your diet in check according to your goals??? What about your routine???

you can probably go with 600mg/week at your body weight... even if you start after dropping down to 240.
 
Yahhh you think running 600 a week would be a good amount? Im looking at starting in september, for the winter bulk and do the juice then. Im just not sure how i can approach it, atleast i have a long time to do research before i start jumping into anything. How much weight would i be looking at putting on if i started at 250ish? And when you mention starting with one compound you mean not adding a dbol in there with the test?

I feel my diet is decent, but then again your diet can always get better. Ive always been a big eater, being an oline man and all, so its tough cutting back to achieve results i want, if there are any tips out there to promote a good fat loss i would appreciate hearing it.


As far as training goes im currently on a moderate weight program just for shaping up and keeping my lean body mass while lowering my bf %. Once the goals are reached ill be back on my heavy program, i was 295 and 15% last year at the end of the season, only lineman with top abs hahah
 
Diet

Just wondering if someone could post a good diet to help muscle mass, and promote fat loss. I do cardio 45 mins a day, 6 days a week Sundays off, just curious if anyone has some suggestions for this already diet:

**Breakfast**
2 Whole Eggs
added egg whites
2 whole wheat pieces of toast
1 Protein shake

**mid morning snack**
apple with 2tbsp of natural PB

**lunch**
Can of tuna
1/2->1 cup of cottage cheese (fat free)
2 whole wheat bread
250-500ml of skim milk

**pre workout/mid afternoon**
apple or banana
250ml of yogurt (fat free)

(WORKOUT and Cardio)

**post workout**
Banana 1 Large
Protein shake

**dinner**
Sole Fillets or Chicken (breast or quarters)
Medium sweet potatoe
rice or steamed vegetables
2-3 glasses of water

**Before Bed**
250ml of skim milk
1-2 cups of cottage cheese (fat free)
(Also drink 4.5-6L of water a day prolly or close to it)

Lemme know some opinions on this diet, just wanna see what my most effective options are for a successful diet and would love to hear your comments or criticism. Thanks

You'll want some protein, creatine (creapure, imo) and that's pretty it as staple supplements. Just make sure to eat a lot of food and nothing that is too sugary. Pretty much the most basic things I could tell you. I'm too tired to write a lot :spin: lol
 
for the diet, you're talking about something between now and september right? muscle retention.... focus on fat loss?

you can probably get more help on the diet forum. while i do a lot of nutritional stuff with people i find it kind of hard to do over forums.

so many variables.

some things that i often recommend to people when trying to lose fat.

cycle your carb intake. no/low low/moderate moderate/high and utilize cheat days (i too am a big eater, i love food. i love cooking and eating.)

before your cheat try to taper your carbs down and have a no carb day. eat only proteins. some fat on your meat or something is alright but keep the fats to a minimum as well. carbs in the form of green veggies are alright, i recommend a lot of broccoli. i'll do like broccoli and chicken stir fries, throw in some peppers, etc. or beef and broccoli. i use pretty much only dry spices, maybe some home made barbecue sauce and i grew up not putting salt on or in anything for the most part (i eat scrambled, fried, whatever eggs straight no salt or pepper and LOVE them....)

some people recommend fasting intermittently, which is something i do and have done for a while but it didn't start as something i did for dieting purposes. if you do, it works pretty well to fast after your cheat day.

i drink water and scivation xtend every day but more xtend on days that i fast, so still some protein.

i've had a lot of success helping people cut while maintaining/adding muscle using this kind of structure and toying with the macros.

everyone is different. i know what works for me, but it doesn't work for everyone else.... but if you get some of those concepts and put them into play you can accomplish a lot in a very short period of time.

you can (and i suggest) take it one step further and adjust/plan your workouts to work in conjunction with your dieting. most people find that the best exercise for fat loss is full body workouts. doing muscle group splits doesn't make as much sense when focusing on cutting. you can still work your strength.

for example, plan your heavy as balls day when you push your per rep volume up to coincide with your cheat day. the influx of carbs after having gone lower/no carb the day or two before that will probably translate into extra energy and a bit of a boost in the gym.

also, if you're trying to focus on getting your carbs in earlier in the day and fats in later in the day you can also modify your cardio to fit that. a lot of people say do cardio first thing in the morning. personally, i find it more effective in the evenings, and i do my heavy lifting earlier in the day.

i don't do "cardio" as much as just play basketball, but practices and such conveniently fall in the evenings for us usually so it fits.

those are just some tips and stuff. you can probably get a lot of good help in the diet forum.
