Just got test cyp from internet - any way to test it?

I've (finally) received my testosterone cypionate from a silk road seller (it was the only way I could get hold of it here in the UK).

It's from a company called PMP Steroids, which apparently are based in Iran. I can find very little information on them on the internet, except for a few pages where some people are saying it is legit and the product is good, and others where people are saying it doesn't do anything.

Is there any way to get it checked somehow so I know the contents?

And worse case scenario, it'll just fail to have any effect I presume?

There are two ways to determine if it's any good:

1) Spend a couple thousand dollars and learn how to use a mass spectrometer.
2) Inject the gear and get a blood test for $50 after 5-6 weeks.

I'll leave the choice up to you.

Haha, thanks for the reassurance guys I guess nothing too bad will happen to me if it's crap quality.

I'll probably know soon enough, as I'm going to stop taking my testogel in the meantime, so if I end up feeling lethargic and depressed again, then I'll know why.

Since the half-life of cyp is about 7 days, won't I be able to find out sooner than 5-6 weeks if it's having any effect?

When I started on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), at 120 mg per week I noticed before 5-6 weeks. I'm not saying my strength went through the roof or anything like that, but I could feel something around the end of week 2. It has only gotten better since. Good luck and keep us updated on your progress.

Hahahaha. It's just frowned upon using less than legitimate sources in this particular forum, that's all. Yes, you still need 4-6 weeks for the depot to reach blood serum levels even though the half life is 7-10 days and peak concentration is in 48hrs. You WILL feel worse at first as the transdermal gel crap is faster acting and will leave your system faster than the injectable will take effect. Just be patient and you should be fine. Is there a reason why you can't get it from your doctor through a script?

The doc just gave me a script for testogel, didn't even mention anything about HCG or Aromatase inhibitor (AI), just sent me out of the office on my way. I was left to educate myself.

Had my E2 tested last week, and it came back at 135 - I hear the gels are bad for aromatisation, I've had sore nips on and off since I started. The only other option over here is nebido every 10 weeks, but from what I read, people feel like crap after half the period - it's just too long between doses. When I asked the doc about testosterone cypionate, his response was "I've never heard of it, it's not in the medical journals, and I've asked several of my colleagues who are endocrinologists, and they've never heard of it either." Evidently he'd also never heard of Google.

So I decided to take matters into my own hands and source test cyp, arimidex and HCG, and self administer. It just turned up today, hence the slightly perturbed post about the authenticity of the stuff!

Ohhhhh, okay. I knew your name looked familiar, but was too lazy to look up post history. At least personal use is legal in the UK so you can easily self-medicate as long as you have access to labs. You can always take a picture of the vials/amps and post them in the AAS picture thread if you're worried, but odds are you'll be told the same thing I told you - that you have to just pin it and see in a few weeks. Man your doctor pisses me off - people shouldn't be put in your situation, but I totally understand why you're doing it this way and I truly wish you the best of luck!

Yeah tell me about it, I'm pretty disappointed in the medical establishment for leaving me in this position. I phoned "the leading" private clinic too, and they still only use nebido, and wanted £600 for a consultation. Not cool.

Just make sure you manage your estradiol. Hopefully you have acquired an Aromatase inhibitor (AI). Many guys need Aromatase inhibitor (AI) for injections too.

As Megatron noted, the US is completely ass-backwards in a lot of our legislation and has declared AAS as a Schedule III drug which makes it not only illegal to purchase, but to possess and have for personal consumption without a prescription. But we can drink and smoke ourselves to death. Makes sense, amirite?

Thanks for letting me know this is an option. I didn't apply the gel this morning for the first time in weeks, and I can tell the difference already - it'll be good to be able to ease the transation from one to another. I got hold of some arimidex, which I'm going to take at 0.25mg EOD for a couple weeks and then get my E2 checked again.

I wonder... since test prop has a half life of only a couple of days, has anyone ever tried dosing small amounts of it on a daily basis, to try and mimic the body's own testosterone cycle more closely?
