this DR. was pretty cool older guy..knowledge was pretty good about test and Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) and trt...my confusion is that i am 36 ,test level approx 250. no juice since last june. this dr. gave me a script for test patch 5mg...another dr. told me to try some Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) then nolva. (cause clomid makes me sick)..
this guy is saying he thinks it is a waste of time to try to recover test level ,thinks i burned it out??
also has anybody had any success on androderm? thx

The gel is just another form of Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), albeit a very weak one.

I would try hcg/nolva and see what happens. I've heard of people getting their natural levels back up after having them tested as being very low for a long time.

it's extremely unusual to be forever shut down by aas, even if you were on for 2 years.....i'd listen to Dirk and give it some time with hcg/nolva.

Lots of guys look and look and can't find a doctor like that. Many doctors don't think low testosterone is really low or they insist they can recover your testosterone even when they can't. But your situation is different, because you are 'on' for so long and you still have a chance of recovery.

Androderm has largely been replaced by Androgel (a transdermal gel). The patches often cause a contact dermatitis. My personal preference is good old testosterone cypionate injections done weekly plus hCG.

so mrank you are in agreemennt with the above guys i should try Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) and nolva first? and how to run it thx?

A low dose of Nolvadex for several months should certainly elevate your testosterone levels during this long recovery and there would still be some hope that, after several months, you could discontinue the Nolvadex and your testosterone levels would be in the normal range.

Or you could do hCG at maybe 300 IU, 3 times a week. I've often said that hCG will suppress you, but Dr. John Crisler has corrected me and apparently some people have used hCG for testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and had to reduce their hCG over time because their own systems have started to kick in during the hCG use.

If you do both Nolvadex _and_ hCG at the same time, then you definately need to use a very low dose of Nolvadex or else your serum testosterone will likely go too high... not a good thing when you want to get your system back to 'normal.'

I do not know what regimen, much less what dose, Dr. John Crisler would recommend for you. Most of what I have read from him is about proper Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) and not about recovery. I expect that he is very competent in aiding somebody so that they can make a recovery, but everyone is different and doing so is surely as much art as it is science.

He runs a good Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) forum over at http://forum.mesomorphosis.com/forumdisplay.php?f=9 , but his advice will probably be general as he needs proper bloodwork done and he must dedicate his time to his own patients. Becoming a patient of his now, unfortunately, requires a trip to East Lansing, Michigan, USA.

I don't think you can go wrong taking a low dose of Nolvadex. Doing so certainly won't damage your ability to recovery and it may actually help your recovery. If nothing else, it should raise you testosterone levels _during_ your recovery so that you feel better. The hCG is a little bit more complicated. It makes sense that it will somewhat suppress your own hypothalmus and pituitary, but nevertheless, there are accounts that seem to contradict this.
