Kelso shrugs

I don't know if any of you guys do these, but they have helped me really pull my shoulder blades together while benching, and that has really aided my setup. The 515 i hit the other day in my single ply was pretty freakin effortless and the best i have ever setup and kept form through the whole lift.

Kelso shrugs are just basically shrugs done from the position you would do a bent row, i use the Chest supported Row so I don't get more lower back work than i need, lol. Not sure if that is the proper name, but it is what i have heard them referred to.

we do band pull-a-parts with a shrug to help for the very reason joe mentioned. the bigger the tuck the shorter the stroke in benching for youy guys who arent aware of this.

in case ya all r wondering i've been laying low cuz of an injury.... sux but i think i'm slowly getting better. I'm mainly doing all upper body stuff, which pisses me off, but at least i haven't really lost much size. So its not ALL bad.

No, but you can buy the Kelso shrug book from a few places. It is cheap and well worth it.
