Keto and PCT !!!!!!!!!!!!

So I'm starting my PCT in a few weeks (not looking forward to it). I've been on a keto diet for the last 3 months with great success with a test e and EQ stack. Would like to drop another 5ilbs but obviously don't want to continue keto during pct. Was planning on going back to maintenance for pct then thinking about keto again after fully recoverd. Thoughts?? I've ran many cycles but this is the first 20 week cycle I have done. Getting close to my 40s so this is going to be a hard recovery.
 
You can stay in ketosis while maintaining. Just up your cals. I can't think of any reason why a diet high in fats and protein would have any adverse effects on your recovery at all. You're already in a deficit I'm assuming, so bumping them up a little would just add back in some body fat while you're recovering.

I'd just stay on the same diet personally, but I don't know what your goals are beyond trying to lose 5lbs.

I've no science or anything to back this, but given that both leptin & thyroid respond best to carbohydrate intake, and both of those influence HPTA... wouldn't at least a moderate carb intake be best? During PCT anyhow?

Definitely not a deficit in PCT. That will definitely hurt/slow your recovery and be a recipe for muscle loss.

Ya I just re-read halfwit post, he said to stay on keto but up calories, I can give that a shot, just raise fats and protein more. My body responded well to keto.

Yes, this was my first thought since I'll be in pct, I'll think about it, thanks for the replies guys!! Couldn't ask for a better group of bros for advice!!

The only thing about leptin and thyroid output is that most studies don't seem to cover when the body is receiving energy from ketones instead of glucose. A great example would be that there are two organs that run exclusively on glucose: the brain and eyes. As we all know, going into ketosis doesn't make you blind or permanently daft (the first week or two maybe!) - as the body adjusts.

I haven't honestly looked into thyroid response during keto as I've always been on T3, and I know my leptin/ghrelin are all messed up from being morbidly obese for a long time. Unfortunately, that stuff doesn't go away for a super long time apparently. :(

ive done about 350 key terms now.. and keep having to add more.. by the time i am done im expecting we have nearly 1000 key terms
