Lab results after HPTA restart attempt. Advise please...

I just did a month long restart attempt (clomid and tamoxifen) after a 3 week HCG blast prior to starting the HPTA attempt.

I have posted on here before and appreciate all the prior feedback. I thought I was a lifelong TRT candidate, and I believe this restart attempt proves it. I have been on TRT off and on for the past 3 years.

Current labs taken 1 day after a month long HPTA restart attempt..

Testosterone total 239 (low) 300-1200 range
% free. 1.9. 1.6-2.9 range
Testosterone free. 46.0 (low) 47-244 range
Sex hormone binding globulin 33 13-71 range
Hemoglobin and Hematocrit are good/ in range
FSH. 7.7 1.4-18.1 range
LH. 17.0. (High). 1.5-9.3 range
Estradiol is pending still. (It was in range a month ago)

I don't feel horribly bad, but I don't feel great. After seeing how low my total test is one day after, I feel like I should go right back on my TRT dose. (I have not had any synthetic testosterone for the past 2 months)

Your input is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance..

You are definitely primary hypogonadal. Time to bite the bullet and see a doctor about TRT. With an LH that high, your body should be filled with testosterone. Sucks, but at least there's a light at the end of the tunnel. :)

Edit: Go back to TRT.

Thanks Halfwit. I just want to make sure I'm looking at this the right way. I thought I would be way higher (at least 500 or so)

Do you think I should wait to go back on TRT? My thought is no, because my level should or would not increase, since I am no longer taking the SERMS. Correct?

I wouldn't wait. You are only going to go down from here.

That LH is astronomical! I would have expected way higher TT levels by this point. Either another month or two of restart or I would throw in the towel.

I agree with Halfwit. Unless you can cure what is wrong with your testicles you will never be able to produce adequate amounts of testosterone on your own. You will need TRT. Get on injections.

Ya but you don't know what T levels you had on the HCG. ...
theres really no 3 weeks of this or that when doing a restart especially with HCG. You need to reach atleast 500 ng/dl during the HCG phase....
what dose clomid/nolva were you on?

I've seen a huge wave of people trying to jump of trt lately. Wondering if it has anything to do with the media scare aka testosterone causes stroke/heart disease.

Probably 50/50....
Between docs proposing it and patients being convinced its for their own good.
the doc doesn't care....most want any little reason to throw in the towel and not have to prescribe and monitor.

hCG does not work for those with Primary Hypogonadism.

Apollon,
I was on 100/40
75/20
50/20
50/20

I'm convinced I'm a life long candidate. I plan on going back on my therapy this week, with HCG 300 mcg 2x per week. I have never taken HCG with my therapy in the past.

Thank you to everyone for your advice and input.

5'10"

Between 7-8% bf

How old are you. Not to insult you but I kinda find it hard to believe some one with T levels that low is sitting at the BF% you state. Usually with low t the first thing to rise is BF. Maybe I'm wrong

You asked, I'm not insulted (lol). I am 46. I train everyday and don't take days off. I run approx. 30 miles a week and interval train. I do a variety of strength and conditioning training for ballistic core emphasis. My diet is clean etc..

My BF is normally 6-7%, so maybe this is the reason I am gaining a little more BF..

How do you stay warm? I got down to 10% once and I was effin freezing all the time.

Apollon, I did 2 1/2 weeks of HCG prior to the Clomid/Tamoxifen restart attempt. I took 1000 mcg once a day for 10 days and 500 mcg the last 10 days.

Trtnooby, lol..I sweat a lot and sometimes get cold. (I live in a warmer climate, so ithe climate helps)

Just speaking for myself and a couple of guys I know that are on, TRT never made us feel that great - even after spending tons of money on blood work, tweaking the protocol, etc...my libido never improved, I still cant make any progress in the gym, etc.... I have low SHBG, so I know I am SOL for TRT ever working well. I do feel better on that off - but its like a tiny increment better. On scale of 1 to 10 with ten being awesome I am like a 4 or 5 off and maybe a 5 or 6 on. After a few years of that and all the money you are speeding, getting off starts to sound pretty good.
