Late bloomer + testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) help!!!

No doubt. Virtually everyone here is painfully aware of what low test feels like.

Aren't most of you guys like 40+... I'm 20 :(
Srs question, should I even workout or take a week or two off until I start getting injections or whatever the endo prescribes.

Any idea why your liver functions are though the roof? I'd get that figured out high liver functions freak me out, I had a relative die of liver failure at a young age and bleeding out your eyes, gaining 40b of water weight, turning yellow is a nasty way to die. Get that issue figured out.

Also since your thyroid does not seem to be working get that fixed, your thyroid is needed to produce hormones. If you get that back up your hormone levels might follow suit on their own (might not also but worth a shot).

Alright I'll talk to endo about my thyroid, right?

Members here range from young to old. However, age doesn't matter when it comes to how we feel. It's not as if depression and lack of libido is acceptable just because someone is in his 30s.

To answer your questions, you should absolutely continue to work out. It is good for you, even with low T. Besides, even if a doc were to prescribe injections, it would take 4-5 weeks before it builds up in your system anyway. Hit the gym hard while you are trying to figure stuff out and don't let the numbers consume your life.

You're right, but its hard to get motivated knowing I have the testosterone levels of an African american woman lol.

It is hard but working out will keep you in the right frame of mind. Your levels now are 30% higher than mine were before I started TRT. I know how discouraged you must feel.

TRT is awesome for those that need it.

What are your levels at now, and how long did it take before you felt it kick in?

Been on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for 5 weeks now and go for follow-up bloodwork tomorrow. Never felt it "kick-in" but I suspect we need to dial in estrodial levels.

nordic11.... Since everyone is different in the way our bodies respond to certain therapies and or metabolize different medications, it is difficult to put a specific time on when your therapy "kicks in". And in many, if not most cases, testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) patients aren't really even sure what "signs" to look for in terms of anything kicking in. But you have mentioned in many of your threads that you have definitely noticed the benefit of your testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) protocol. Is there a way for you to sum up, cumulatively speaking, some of the more noticable benefits and/or gains that you personally have seen in the past five weeks? I think that may help the newbies get a better understanding of what to look for or expect, instead of thinking that, all of a sudden, they will just wake up one day and be able to leap a tall building in a single bound. They need to understand that therapy is more of a progression than it is just "kicking in".

This is how I've been feeling. I feel a ton better than I did when I started about 6 weeks ago although I don't feel as good as I think I should yet. I did some research on my own and spoke with Chip again and we've made some adjustments. Honestly, the changes I came up with after my own research and starting with a basic protocol are what Chip had originally recommended.

I think that goes to show you two important things about Chip . . .

1. He isn't going to pressure you into anything. He'll give you his advice and you can take it or leave it.

2. Chip knows what he is talking about

Good clarification. I did not ever feel anything "kick in". However, that doesn't mean I haven't felt anything. To Chip's point, the progression is gradual.

I will note one thing that was noticable. My libido, on a scale of 1 to 10, went from a 0 before testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) to a solid 10 within the first 14 days. The change was dramatic and very noticable. Never had ED so no change there.

I have been feeling better with more energy. Because it is gradual, you may not even notice. I didn't realize I had more energy until I was playing with my child and realized we had been playing for an hour when I used to have to sit down after 15 minutes.

You just can't expect a "light switch" type change on Test Cyp. I'm told Test Prop acts very fast. I just don't want to deal with the more frequent injections.

Jomamma, I really feel for you man, to have these problems at such a young age must be devastating! But, the good news is that you have all these smart, experienced guys on these boards to help you get better.. And you WILL get better.. Just be smart and know what the he'll you are talking bout when you go see the endos! Most of them are QUACKS.. DEFINITELY get that liver problem fixed first before adding any other compounds in your body.. Doing testosterone shots for a couple months will take your test serum level from 100 to 0!! There is no logic in that whatsoever!! That's counter productive..TRT is forever or don't do it at all.. Call Chip, he's going to have your best interest in mind.. He's not going to give you the hard sell.. He's very cool to talk to

Thanks, I can only give it till my 21st birthday for things to change, or Imma just kill myself. Besides it's going to be a hassle on my family to do this shit. Looks like I won't be able to see the endo for a month because of shitty insuranceeee

dont talk about killing yourself. You got dealt a shitty hand, but you have a way to play it. You got a lot of support from guys right here and if you want maximus to do for you what we've done for everyone else, you know where to find us. But regardless, you DONT get two chances to kill yourself, bro. There are no "do overs", or "mulligans". Pick your chin up and find the strength not to even think about going down that road.

AMEN to that!! Don't even let that cross your mind again! There is an out, and it's not that way! Fuck the insurance, Fuck the thoughts of being a hassle to others.. You need to get healthy! If you had diabetes, you would be taking a shot of insulin every day to replace the insulin your body is not producing on it's own.. In this case you have Hypogonadism and you need to give your body the testosterone that it is not making on it's own.. It's a legit medical condition that is Fucking you up mentally and physically.. Don't worry about being a hassle to your family..I am concerned for you, Don't wait a month, Call Chip right away, even do a conference call w/ your parents if they want to know what's up

I wouldn't mess around with insurance or random doctors. Get with Chip ASAP.

With that said, it is also time to see a mental health professional. Wanting to hurt yourself isn't nothing to play around with. If things are that bad, it may be more complicated than just testosterone.

You aren't feeling anything that I'm willing to bet most of us have felt. I'll admit that the last week before I got my shipment of meds was one of the hardest I've had. Something about knowing you're so close to getting help but still feeling like it's so far away.

Bro,

Get you someone that you can talk to, someone that has been there. No matter what, this can be fixed. Do not despair. I think right now you need a close friend or two that you need to spend your time with.

Remember this important FACT: Your situation is TEMPORARY. I'd hope that you would visit with Chip, because I know for a fact that he has a lot of savvy on this issue. Nothing ventured nothing gained?

Bottom line, Hoss, hang in there. There is a light at the end of your tunnel and it is not a flipping train. You just have to work through this crap. We are here to help, and support you.

Not really, I can deal with life's bs but having underdeveloped sexual organs and low T at 20 I cannot take. How can I visit with Chip, hes in Michigan?? Does he offer his service over the web? Thanks for the support though guys...
