looking for a new routine to put some mass on the legs, anyone?
Cashout, legs are lookin bad ass. I prefer a routine like 5x5 for leg mass. I don't like a lot of high rep shit and my body has never responded great to it. Everyone is different. For 5x5 I would do a squat or deadlift for 5 sets of 5. Then I do something like lunges 2 sets of 8-12, glute ham rasie 2 sets of 8-12, leg curls 2 sets of 8-12, and leg extensions 2 sets of 8-12.
The problem with the low rep 5s type of programs is most guys get fixated on the weight and how much they are lifting.
Most guys spend more time trying to set "personal records" with their lifts and in the end they still fail to build quality legs.
It deteriorates into "weight lifting" and not body building.
You have a valid point but you know as well as I do that just because one routine works well for one person doesn't mean it will work for another. Everyone is different. You just have to find what works for you. I myself do not respond great to a lot of high rep stuff. I am a firm believer in low reps on compound movements for mass in the 4-6 rep range. Everything else I do 8-12 reps but I don't do a ton of accessory work. Not knocking you though, your legs look jacked as shit so it definitely works for you.
