List Your Own TRT + Supplements

I thought it may be helpful for everyone if we post what we use on a day to day basis to supplement our own testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) protocols, what we've tried and has or has not worked and how much of it we take. My own supplements are as follow:

Digestive/immune/overall Health:

  • 1 x Florajen 3 pro-biotic - No more stomach pains which I used to get weekly, also I haven't gotten sick since I started with this and testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), it could be the combination of both I suppose.
  • 3 x Optimum Nutrition Opti-Men Multivitamins - OK vitamins, a bit to take at once but normally you can't get all that you're supposed to get in a multivitamin on a single little pill.
  • 1 x Optimum Nutrition Fish Oil - OK so far, not sure how to measure its effectiveness but the nutrients from fish oil are good for overall health.
  • 1ml x 2/week MIC/B-Complex - Haven't felt anything noticeable yet... (3 weeks)

Exercise:

  • 2 scoops of Jack3d (pre-workout) - Lots of good energy, arms/chest feel a good pump during / post workout, I personally don't crash with it, others seem to.
  • 1 x Oh Yeah! or Phase III RTD Protein shakes (post-workout) - Best tasting RTD shakes, Phase 3 has real milk and good carbs for post workout, Oh yeah! is low in sugar.
  • 1 scoop of MuscleMeds creatine (post-workout) - Nothing to report as of yet...
  • 3 x Optimum Nutrition ZMA (before bedtime) - Not always but often it causes me to have pretty vivid dreams, it's supposed to help you with T productions but then again while on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) who cares... the good thing about it is that it contains Zinc and Magnesium which is good for cell production which is beneficial for a number of things.

TRT is 50mg every 3.5 days with 250iu hcg the day after. Will retest in a couple weeks to see if I can keep off AI's.

Supps are red yeast rice, garlic, coq10, fish oil, niacin, calcium, magnessium, multi, melatonin, b12

100mg of cyp every 6 days. Multi vitamin, fish oil 2-3 times a week. GNC fiber stuff helps promote weight loss. Im skeptical in supplements as I have never had one do anything of noticeable difference.

65mg Test C 3x/wk, .25mg Aromatase inhibitor (AI) 2x/wk, Daily Supps = CoQ10, Omega 3, DIM, Multi, Super B Cimplex, D3 & Glucosamine w/MSM. Also used to take Resveratrol but caused irregular heart beat so I stopped. Preworkout GNC Aplified Muscle Igniter 4x. Post workout Whey Protein & Creatine.

300 mg E9-12D depending on how I feel.

GHRH/GHRP-6/GHRP-2 150mcg 2-3x per day. Workout days 3.

Injectable Vitamin D3 with my T shot - and once with MIC

MIC sub - C 2x per week

Probiotics

Vitamin E

I just found this thread and am interested. Why did you guys decide to start testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) on your own instead of through a doctor? I'm in the same boat and just found out my T levels are 135. Super duper low. I actually have a thread here I just created. I am going back to the doc in a few days to talk about my blood results. Mind you this is the same doctor who I had to fight with to give me a blood test because she's "never seen ANYBODY under 40 years old have low testosterone or hormone problems."

I guess my point is that I may just say fuck it and start my own TRT.

You certainly can start your own but it requires a lot of reading and understanding of what you're doing. If you have PPO it's time to look for another doctor IMO. I started with my family doctor who sent me the labs when I did my yearly physical, he wasn't an expert and admitted it and I didn't like his treatment choices and ended up in this forum. Since then I have gone to an endo who I didn't like either and tomorrow I am seeing a urologist, we'll see what happens then, in the meantime I have been working with IMT (board sponsor) and they have been great to deal with. Contact them (Look at THE-DET-OAK signature for contact info) if your doctors aren't able to help you.
