Longer dianabol cycle, or keep it short?

traditionally, dianabol is used in 4-6 week cycles to "kick start" a program with long-ester injectables. However, I have read a bit of information about the actual "toxicity level" of dianabol, and it is sounding less and less harsh than I previously thought. Basically what I am asking is if there is any legitimate information out there that provides a good reason to NOT take dbol longer than 4-6 weeks? Has anybody tried it for 8-12 weeks? Longer? What happened? Just curious to see if there is any EVIDENCE out there of something magically going wrong after 6 weeks.

Everyone is different, but as dbol is methylated, it WILL place a strain on your liver as that's where it is ultimately metabolized. 4-6 weeks is more of a guideline to keep you healthy.

I've run panels on dbol, adrol, SD, var, halo, tren, tbol, and proviron. The biggest offender was SD (it's DOUBLE methylated, so that makes sense) with dbol/halo/adrol being next, followed by the rest - and proviron showing no impact as it's not methylated.

If you're interested in learning on how this works, there's a ton of information out there regarding methylation, as it's used often in medicine. This leads to how drugs are alpha-alkylated (17-aa being the most common) in order to bypass the first pass of the liver, which is how we actually get use from them as the liver has to strip that molecule first before it can start removing the drug.

It gets a little more complex the further you dig, but that's the gist of it. Note: acetaminophen ranks right up there for liver toxicity if that helps to give a point of reference.

My .02c :)

well fact is is it is toxic so why push it? keep to 8 weeks if anything just run another inject IMO

I'm not suggesting that you push it or asking if I should run it out longer. I am asking why we arbitrarily decided what "pushing it" is? Is there something bad that happens after that 8 weeks? Why isn't it 4 weeks that we are considering "pushing it"? I am looking for something concrete.

I answered your question. There ISN'T a concrete recommended time-frame based on the properties of a specific drug. It's based on collective labwork and experiences. In fact, prescribing information is often conflicting depending on the source of information.

I really think you should read up on how it works, so you understand WHY there CAN'T be a definitive one-size-fits-all solution as every single person is different, and subsequently responds differently.

Perhaps you could explain your line of thought here, so a better answer can be provided.

I totally get what you are saying! It is definitely individual. There is just a lot of "this is the max amount of time you should take drug X" here and I just wanted to know why

Great post halfwit!!!

The closest documentation that I've seen, comes from William Llewellyn's book - "Anabolic's" - which talks about a prescribed length of 2-4 weeks
at a lower dose... and 6-8 weeks for physique or performance enhancing.

I've read that Arnold and Mentzer took very low doses for very long periods... I've tried this and really like it a lot, but I'm only running 10-20mg
for long periods.

Some people might say it's worthless to run it that low, but I find it very effective... it keeps you pumped with the extra strength... without the side
effects like bloat.
