Looking for input from anyone who has tired B12 injections

I've been reading up on B12 injections. There is quite a bit of contradictory information out there.

I'm looking at B12 because I've been experiencing unexplained lethargy. All blood tests come back normal my TT is good at 1100 and e2 is in check at 30. I had a sleep study and all is well. Diet is very good too.

Looking to experiment with B12 and would like feedback from those who have tried. Did you get a boost in energy? Was it a waste of time?

When my body is under a lot of stress, Heavy cycle for example, I do notice a slight difference when I add in b12. Within a couple days of starting b12 I def feel a little bet better man. Its not some huge dramatic effect but it is definitely there. Id say in your case it seems like it would be worth a shot (no pun intended!)

b12 and vitd supplimentation is deff a good idea. did you have general blood work or did you also specifically ask to check vitamin levels, general bloods AND hormone levels?

I would check them all along with thyroid function if you havent.

but extra b12 and vitd would not hurt or add risk so for now i would rec hopping on that while waiting for more bloods.
the inject b12 and some oral vitd3 is a good option here.

Hi, same your situation tried cobaforte 5000 for 3 weeks suggested by my doc, 1 injection every morning it did nothing, im searching something for lethargy and boost energy too :)
So it was totally waste for me

Just keep in mind that if you're going to seek injections, look for methylcobalamin, NOT cyanocobalamin. Cyanocobalamin is far more common, but is far less effective. In fact, oral methylcobalamin is better than injected cyanocobalamin. ;)

Just be aware that b12 does increase blood solids. So if you're chasing your hematocrit constantly, it may not be the best choice.

My .02c :)

I hate to be a repeater but I derive ALL my nutritional needs through food. I tried b12 inj, b12 oral s both that HW talked about...however I believe in positive placebo too so I d try it if ur hemocrit s stay good.

For me..I fight lethargy which for me is mental by doing. Moving. The more I move, train walk or throw Frisbee w the neighborhood kids or the tele pole in my yard ( seriously..I m a surgeon w a 151 gram) help s me. But I m a medical paradox. I take aderoll to calm down and THEN FIGHT falling sleep ???!!! Motor s gotta run or it s gonna get cobbed up. Moving parts need to move. The more I do the more I want to do....

Good points and ones you have to keep in mind.

This is also a good point. Quite often with supplementation of any kind the only time you notice a difference is when you presently have a deficiency. I find this to be even more true when it comes to substances such a vitamins. Like I said for me the injectable B helps in times of excess stress. Why? Prob because at those times I am nutritionally deficient in the b viatmins OR due to increased cortisol etc i have a need for excess vit B. The thing is this, we waste a ton of money on a ton of things supplement wise. IMO vit b is one of those things that falls into the "worth a try" category. In a situation like the OP's I say hey give it a shot and see how it effects you. It isnt gonna hurt nor is it gonna break the bank.

Thanks for all the replies ***8211; I agree 100% with all advice / rational given.

I originally visited my PCP and was diagnosed with low T (after going round and round with him) and thus here I am ***8211; I assumed this was the cause for my lethargy. I***8217;d rather not go back to my doc and pay for a dr. visit just to fight with him to give me blood test xyz.

To slug through a workout I chug the daylights out of preworkout. I started to make my own and load it down with Taurine and other goodies because over the counter was just too weak

B12 is one of those things that is cheaper to try out than it is to get a blood test to determine deficiency. 7.99 on Amazon it right up my ally to try. Not sure if there is any correlation with the stacker B12 shots, but those seems to help a little.

With a TT of over 1150, chasing HCT has become an issue. Even with donating whole blood 3-4X a year HCT is still creeping up. I figure for 7.99 I***8217;ll see if it makes me feel better and keep a sharp eye on HCT.

Can anyone recommend a comprehensive blood for vitamin deficiency?

i don't mean to threadjack but aside from the increased energy what else do you guys feel? i've read that it should in crease your appetite and is beneficial for your skin but is this realistic?

I actually just did an IV infusion of B-12, aminos and glutathione. My first one. I LITERALLY felt amazing about 30 minutes later.

I was bouncing off the walls.

Also now I get my b-12 mixed with my HCG through IMT.

Just my 2 cents :chainsaw:

Ok so the body like to have the b vitamins in balance. You taking large amounts of b12 it put the balance out of whack and the body creates cravings to put the, back in balance. It's very effective.

That sounds.... expensive (the IV). The local anti ageing clinic will give b12 shots at will, but for an arm an a leg.

Also don't you need to take b12 daily vs e3.5d for hcg?

Nope I just run the HCG :) Works great for me.

The IV isn't too bad like $200 bucks I think.

Its not for everyone but I like it.

Many guys just use B12 to reconstitute their hCG. Kill two birds with one stone. You don't need someone to inject it for you.

After reading this thread I just picked up some cyanocobalamin I couldn't find the meth version but we'll see how it goes its horse grade but I don't think it will matter
