Losing weight fast. Should I be worried?

Six weeks ago I started losing weight due to a combination ear/sinus and intestinal infection. I had to stop working out for a while and my strict diet went to shit (I ate almost nothing for days on end). Now, I'm down 21 pounds, and I'm worried if it's too much weight too soon. I read reports that you should lose weight by only a pound or two a week, and that any more would damge your organs. But we all get sick, so is a weight loss like this normal for the body to recover from or am I doomed like the health sientists say?

My energy is fine now, and my strength seems even better, so I wonder if the excess muscle/fat I lost so quick was actually hampering me. I was getting too big, and now that I'm thinner, my muscles look better defined while I haven't lost strength while increasing mobility. I might stay this weight now.
