Low Dihydrotestosterone. What does it mean?

Got my last blood test results back. A few things are not good. Triglycerides and bad cholesterol high. Good cholesterol a little low.

But can someone tell me what a low dihydrotestosterone reading means?

It's Labcorp. My dht was 27 with a range of 30-85.

And my total t is a little lower than usual. It's usually in the 800's. This time it's 620 with a range of 348-1197. But I bypassed my Tuesday evening injection to get bloodwork Wednesday morning in a fasted state.

My free test is 23.13 with a range of 5-21

Ok, thanks.

Now, does anyone know an effective way to lower triglycerides? My level is really high.

Clean up your diet. Eat lots of Whole unprocessed foods. Stay away from things that are high in saturated fat. Take 3-5 grams of Omega 3 a day (read the label, you want that much of the total active ingredient, not just total fish oil). Drink lots of water, take a fiber supplement and Niacin. If that doesn't work there is a class of drugs called Statins - Lipitor (atorvastatin), Crestor (rosuvastatin), Zocor (simvastatin), Lescol (fluvastatin), Pravachol (pravastatin), and Mevacor or Altoprev (lovastatin), that can help lower Triglycerides and LDL

I'll try the diet. I don't want any more drugs. I also read that a processed, and high sugar diet contributes to high triglycerides. My wife has been bugging me to eat better. Looks like I might have to start.

Thanks

I would recommend starting with less junk food and fat in your diet and add Soluble Fiber to your diet. Even metamucil (psylium husk) is a great help on the soluble fiber side. Or fiber granala bars.

Just read on the difference between soluble and insoluble fiber.
