Low T, cut stalled, no progress, Test cycle

After 5 months now of trying to cut, everything stalls at around 186lb. I see no measurement changes, body looks the same, all results just stop. My diet is on point right now carb cycling at 2,500 calories. 5'6" 186lb 32 years old.

My dilemma is my test levels just came back at 360..my thyroid is ok but i didn't get LH checked, either way i believe the low test is whats causing my stalls and my mood lately.

I need to go see a DR about possible future TRT since i'm only friggin 32, but right now with summer coming i am just curious if a small 16 week 600mg Test-E cycle would kind of jump start my progress a little bit? Or should i just maybe cruise on 200mg a week to get back to normal.

I have only run one cycle of Test before last year, just looking for some advice from people with a little bit more experience with Test issues.

Test isn't really gonna help your cut, only maintain muscle mass. It won't push you through your stall. If you want to run some test just stick to 200/250mg weekly, will be plenty to prevent catabolism.
As to why your stalling..
Have you been microcalibrating?
How much deficit are you in?
Have you been doing refeeds/cheat days?
What bf% are you currently?

Sound like me man, I lifted for a year and ate the right foods and gained crap. Got my levels tested and they were at 230. Now I'm on trt, making good gains in the gym and getting lean muscle mass. I'm only 32 also but I said screw it and gave it a shot.

I have tried everything, i have a great nutritional coach for the past couple months and he dials me in fine but i always end up stalling at the same point. My deficit right now its 500. He is the one who suggested i get my test checked.

for starters i can gain weight by looking at food in magazines, after i read the article im 2lb heavier. I went from 292 to where i am now it just took forever. Refeed/cheats will break certain stalls, my main problem is the 185-186 mark, NOTHING breaks through it. I begin to get angry and discouraged because the effort i put in is WAY to much for zero results.

Have you tried a keto type diet? Maybe you should increase the deficit... Something needs to change. How often are your refeeds?

There is ALWAYS a way!

He says the same thing there is always a way lol but after months on end it's hard to keep at it and stay focused when your really just spinning your wheels.

If i drop more i'll be at 2,000 a day and i already had to to a metabolic reset since i fucked mine up by myself by eating to little and the last thing i wanna do is kill my metabolism again

Lol "resetting" metabolism is easy. Long term metabolism damage is very rare. Im currently eating 1300cal a day, and im a much bigger guy than you. I'd say your risk of long term damage is pretty low ;)

Everyones gonna get the slowdown, its inevitable when cutting. Thats what refeed days are for, reset the metabolic hormones. I still don't know your bf so its hard for me to say, but id hazard a guess your refeeds are way off (timing and macros) if your not progressing at all.

Atm doing that for one week on, then one week at just a 1000cal deficit to lighten things up, then back to 1300cal (nearly a 2000cal deficit) and so on

how long do you eat 1300 for? I was under 2k for easily over a year

You need a full diet break.

If you've been in a caloric deficit for a year its not really a suprise that your body has fully adapted and made you prime and ready for fat gain due to hormonal/metabolic regulation changes.

Even if you incorporate refeeds on a regular basis (weekly), you generall want to take a diet break after 10-16 weeks of dieting to reset all the changes your body has made during this time.

I suggest you switch over to maintenance for 2 weeks (dont worry about "weight" gain), then reassess the deficit your going to run.

Also, cortisol can mask weight loss by increasing water retention - try to chill out :)

don't feel so bad op, im a month from being 25 and my test is at 315 ......

my best advice is take the advice from the above posters... but if your really serious about this i would higher 3J ... hes a great nutritionist and coach.. wouldn't hurt to just message him and talk a little bit about what he'd do with you.. hes very affordable

You are going to feel much better and gain better no matter what if your using testosterone as opposed to training with low T. If thats what you want to do is cycle then do it.
