UFC 89
Main Card Picks:
-Bisping (most likely by major decision, as Leben does have a iron jaw.. if Leben had a little more skill, it would probably be a better fight)
-Sokoudjou ((t)ko, 2nd round)
-Jardine (after the way Vera looked in his last 205 match up and w/Jardine needing this win, BAD, I think this will be another 3 rounder with Jardine edging out the decision..)
-Davis (gotta go with the Irish Hand Grenade!! :) )
-Carwin ( (t)ko, 1st round)
-Lytle (lights out, round 1!!)

Some hard fights to call on this card.

Bisping
Sokodjou
Vera
Davis
Carwin
Taylor

I think Bfisping outclasses Leben in every aspect except brawling. Cane will try to stand with Sokodjou and that's a bad idea, although Cain is a competent striker so this one could be good. Vera looked bad in the last fight because Reese Andy just wanted to lay and pray, all he needs is someone to stand up with and Jardine always wants to stand. Paul Kelly is another lay and pray fagget that might get a decision, but I'll be rooting for Davis. I can't wait till Carwin gets matched up against Lesnar. The Lytle/Taylor fight could go either way, hopefully a highlight reel knockout.

Bisping vs Leben has the makings to be a war.

Bisping was out boxed by Hamel and showed he is willing to stand and slug it out even when losing on the feet. He hasn't showed the KO power to knock out Leben and Leben would love to trade punches. I give Leben the advantage on the feet. He's not technically better, but he has a higher chance of ended it on the feet.

Diego is out. Koscheck is in to fight Alves. I don't like this because I don't wany either of them to lose. I'll still pool for Alves though.

..just saw that this morning. That really sucks. The few fights I've really been wanting to see latey, trashed!! Machida/Silva-Canx and Sanchez/Alves-changed. That blows!

Paul Taylor got hosed. If I see another fight won because one person is pressing the other one into the fence I'm going to shoot myself.

i thought lytle won the decision. nothing impressive but i think he scored more.

also, i got the feeling about a minute into the sokojdou fight that the negro was going to lose. it didnt take long to see that the jenkins was throwing all he had at cane and wasnt doing much. so long as he could weather the storm the jenkins was in big trouble.

anyone picking kote to beat silva?

The punches Lytle landed were sloppy, landing mostly on Taylor's forehead area as well as being blocked by his hands. Taylor's shots were crisp and directly to Lytle's chin. The only difference I saw was fence pushing. I'll be interested to see how fightmetric scores that one.

Wow, I called the Bisping and Jadine fight dead fucking on!! :) This card was too predictable.. ;)

i just had to look up the result of the jardine fight. i didnt even remember what happened it was so forgettable. vera was definitely disappointing.

^^No shit^^ ..ever since the cut to 205. The only thing I can attribute it to (other then cutting weight) is that he's trying to "play it safe" during his fights now. Where I think at HW, he'd let it all hang out and would just throw up a leg kick or fire off a combo with full on "I dont give a fuck" aggression.
