Yep, I'm a little fella.![]()
You would make a good bullet wall hahaha that's what they always told me (not really funny when you think about it)

That's pretty much what the recruiter told me! "I can see the guys lining up to get behind you, so they can make it to safety." Yeah, didn't really encourage me to join at the time. I still don't get the height/weight charts as not everyone that weighs x amount is obese. Hell, even BMI is way off for folks that have any appreciable muscle mass! You would make a good bullet wall hahaha that's what they always told me (not really funny when you think about it)

Wow. Learn something new every day. I have to be honest, I wonder what mandatory military service would do for the US. I know a lot of these lazy entitlement crazed little bastards could use a nice kick to the pants.I've seen it suggested before in legislature but it got shot down, some of the benefits of mandatory service are pretty hard to argue against.
Mind blowing that you can be drafted even if you're just living there temporarily. Those Greeks don't fuck around!
I've only been 4 times. 2 times tandem and twice solo. On my first solo run I lost the cord and the bastards charged me $10!
Why does Greece even have a military? Didn't they just lose first class status? Any Army outside of America is a joke.
America is too fat to have a mandatory military service(not counting Selective Service). Most Americans wouldn't even qualify.
Indeed. I respect folks that enlist regardless of their country.don't be that guy..
I guarantee they'd whip all those fatties into shape in no time at all. It's a different story when exercise is no longer voluntary and you are property of the government.

Under boot camp instructors most would have amazing transformations if you think about it. They're all novices and can make progress with jus about anything, they'd be getting unlimited chow, aerobic exercise, etc.

unlimited chow...not so much. it might be unlimited for the 2 minutes you get to eat.
I've been told its basically buffet style and you can take as much as you want, provided there's enough time like you point out. Heard this from people who've served not first hand obviously.
Not if your a fat body!!!! You can only eat what they tell you to and if you grab something else they throw it all out and you don't eat, they only try it once hahaha
Serious? I've never heard of that and that's pretty fucked
Anyone here got the guts to do this?

That's a good question since I was denied enlistment at 18 because I was 6'7" and 280lbs (8% bf) as I was outside their height/weight chart. Only branch that would take me back then was the Marines, and the recruiter talked me out of it as I would be a "big target" with a life expectancy of ~45 seconds in combat. Now in my late 30's I regret not joining, but that's a different thread altogether.
Yeah bro..being Marine is a state of mind..YOu may not have served physically, but sounds like to me, you had the mental make up to be a very successful serviceman. I always tell people "lets not forget"', the US needs good people here. On our soil. Fighting for jobs. Making sure the pepes that did go, have jobs to come home to. Note to all:The people fighting the good fight here on our home field are equally important as those fighting over seas. We all fight for the same thing. Semper Fi..we are all (and always will be) faithful to God (your god of choice, free will), Corps (your fellow marine and patriot), and Country (Your fellow man, thy neighbor).
